Chapter 66

The sun was already high up in the sky when Wesley woke up. He had had a somewhat perfect night with his wife. So perfect that he wanted the day to never come.

Unfortunately, things didn't work that way and so, he was bad at dealing with the way things actually worked.

He turned over in bed, expecting to see the woman who had made his night memorable but what he felt beside him was an empty space. He lifted his head and looked around; the bed was empty except for the boxes that were opened down.

Jade was not in her bed because she was busy packing their clothes, placing them in the bags.

A smile came to Wesley's face on seeing her and his worried heart finally stilled. He didn't want to rise up from the bed but from the looks of it, he had to. Jade was already packing up to leave which meant that their stay had come to an end.

So he rose up from the bed, as he passed by her to the bathroom, he planted a kiss on her temple, whispering in her ear, "Good morning baby".
