Carolene woke up in the hospital with a heavy headache. She looked around and recognized that she was in a hospital.

Her hand moved to her forehead, she felt the familiar texture as a bandage around her head.

She chuckled: "and here I was expecting that he would repeatedly have a knife into my stomach".

She grinned.

She rubbed her stomach, she could feel that her baby was still there on her stomach, but whether they were healthy or not was unknown to her. But she was sure they survived because she had gone through hell yk protect them.

And the bandages around her hands were proof of such.

She grimaced as she recalled how she had fallen down the staircase and the slight push she received from Wesley before she took to the ground.

He had not only threatened her to expose her, and threatened her baby, he actually went along to do what he had said.

Carolene chuckled bitterly.

Wesley had been wrong to play such a game with her.
