"Look here, Zia," he said, redirecting the conversation. "I think talking about something else would be better. We aren't here to talk about me, or are we?" he asked, seeking a change in topic. Zia shook her head with a smile, understanding his intent.

"I should be getting going," Zia said, recognizing that they had spent quite a bit of time together.

"That's alright, I enjoyed chatting with you," the Charles replied, his smile warm and genuine. "I'm glad we were able to catch up with the old time a bit."

Zia returned his smile, feeling a sense of gratitude for the unexpected connection. "I feel the same way," she said, her tone sincere. "I hope our paths cross again."

"I hope so too," Charles said, giving her a small wave as she turned to leave.
