A Selfish Mother

Late at night, a black car parked at a fancy night restaurant. The left part of the car opened as Hannah stepped out and entered the restaurant. The security quickly opened the door for her.

A woman in her fifties was already waiting for Hannah. She sat alone at a table, a glass of red wine in front of her. She was impeccably dressed, her hair perfectly coiffed, and her makeup flawless.

"Mum" Hannah said going over to meet her, she sat down.

"You had to keep me waiting for so long." She said with a void expression.

"I'm sorry ma, traffic."

"Didn't ask for a reason." She said rudely. "Have you done what I asked you to do?" She asked with a piercing gaze.

"Yes mum, Marcus and I had been divorced." Hannah said, an etch of regret in her voice.

"Good." She placed her hands delicately on the table. "Did you get to date a rich man now?" She asked.

"Yes and we are already engaged."
