Chapter 107
A FLASHBACK

Alex strottered into his home, feeling downcast. His father had sent him a very demeaning message and it hurt him terribly that he was seen as a betrayal.by his own father.

His father, Harold, was still up and reading papers in the living room when he walked in. He honestly wanted to walk in ast him without saying a word to him but he suddenly felt an urge to show some respect to the man who gave him life.

“Hey Dad,” he called out and was about to pass through.

“Forty years…,” Harold began and Alex gradually halted to hear what his father had to say. “Forty years was what it took me to finally build something I was gonna be proud of. Most of my mates had found their footings as early as their thirties but I did not find mine till I was in my sixties.”
