Once they got back to Juliana's home, she got down from the car and slammed the door so hard showing him her rage.

She ran up to her house.

“Julie baby,” Alex ran after her, calling on her to stop.

“I am so sorry babe. I really am sorry. I didn't mean to ride your joy in that manner. I mean, I trust you to do what is right. But I am just having a difficult time with my father. He wants me to inherit the conglomerate but I have rejected it for years because I know what it is all about and I want a different path for myself and my future family.”

His voice was deep and his eyes were filled with pain as he spoke.

Juliana's heart went out to him and she reached out to touch his face.

“I understand you baby and I will not let you down. Okay? I won't let your father drag you into something that you are not ready for. I will stand by you on your decision.”

Those words brought so much peace to Alex and he pulled her in and kissed her fervently, lifting her into his arms and into her home wher
