Escape II

“We need to split up now!” Marcus howled at his friend Sam as they ran deeper into the forests, turning back occasionally to shoot at the men who were heavily coming after them.

“Why?” Sam shrieked, trying to take cover behind a tree bark as a bullet came flying towards them.

“Durk!” He yelled at Marcus and Marcus lay down flat and the bullet landed on a tree bark, piercing through it.

Marcus quickly aimed and fired at the shooter's leg. The shooter groaned as the bullet hit his left foot, causing him to collapse to the ground in a thud.

His loud groans filled the air. He was the last man who was close to them. Others were far off and Marcus and Sam could not keep waiting till they got to them.

“That was close…” Sam grinned from the shock he felt and pulled Marcus up.

“These men are dangerous yet weak and not entirely trained,” Marcus said, and they both scoffed at the wailing one.

The men were not that close anymore but they needed to make a decision fast.
