Time Bomb

Sam raced back to the location where he heard the gunshot come from. The forest was large and finding it was a bit hard but when he got there, he was relieved to find Derek holding his bleeding arm and Marcus was surrounded by the Police.

“Oh… good gracious,” he exclaimed as he got closer to them. “I heard the gunshot and I thought they'd killed you,” Sam howled, getting closer to Marcus.

“He would have,” Marcus replied with a smirk, “unfortunately for him, the police closed in and fired at him faster than he could at me.”

“Hmm…so much for your years of training Mr Derek,” Sam cajoled and he and Marcus began to laugh.

“Make fun of me all you can, gentlemen. I'd eventually get the last laugh and I will laugh it best.”

He sneered at them and smiled maliciously.

“You think so highly of yourself Derek,” Marcus mocked him and shifted closer to him. “He is government property now,” he declared loudly, motioning for the police to come and put him in the cuffs. “He has got a lot of answering
