Chapter 147

After Morel finished eating the porridge Marisa had prepared, the atmosphere between them turned quiet. The silence was so tense that Marisa could feel a chill run through the room. Sitting in front of him, Morel looked like a shadow of his former self. The man, usually full of control and determination, now looked fragile, as if he had no desire to continue living.

Marisa felt very uncomfortable. In front of her now was not the stern and authoritative Morel she was used to, but someone slumped over and looked like a living corpse. After drowning in confusion, Marisa decided to ask, though her heart was full of doubts.
