Chapter 164

Marisa and Morel were startled as the car suddenly stopped, causing their bodies to nearly collide with the front seats. They exchanged worried glances, especially Marisa. Her face was shocked, her eyebrows raised, and her mouth slightly agape.

Her eyes widened as if trying to confirm what she was seeing. She leaned back into her seat, gripping the armrests tightly, her body tense with anxiety.

They turned toward Doris, who was still staring straight ahead, her face tight with tension. “Doris, what’s happening?” Morel asked, his voice tinged with concern.

Doris exhaled before responding, “Someone is blocking our path, Master.”

Marisa and Morel looked ahead. Right in front of their car, another black car was parked horizontally, blocking their way. A man in a black t-shirt and matching sunglasses sat behind the wheel; visible through the dark lenses, his gaze exuded intimidation. Something about his demeanor raised suspicions.
