Chapter 32

Paul finally arrived at his house with slightly dishevelled clothes and messy hair, resulting from his frequent head scratching during his emotional outburst. Sweat beaded on his forehead, adding to his dishevelled appearance. Once inside the house, without wasting time, Paul headed straight for his father's study, like a child who wants to complain to his parents when facing a big problem.

His steps sounded hurried in the quiet hallway, reflecting his restlessness. When he reached the door to the study, he opened it quickly without knocking. "Dadhh," Paul called in a slightly whiney tone, his voice filled with desperation and hope for a solution. He stood in the doorway, looking up at his father with reddened eyes, a sign that he had been crying or very angry earlier.
