Edward's expression turned sour with frustration. All he had intended was to finish his system task and lend a hand to Charles in his predicament. But before he could do so, Hugh who seemed to be envious and jealous of him immediately gave slander without a second thought.

Edward replied with indifference, "Whether I cheated or not is something that should be discussed between me and Mr. Hurley."

Hugh's anger intensified and a scheme suddenly formed in his mind.

"How about this?" he proposed. "If what you say is true, then I'll call you boss. But if you're wrong, you'll have to do the same."

Hugh was certain that Edward was lying and that his father was not actually sick. With Edward caught up in his own bragging, Hugh believed that Edward was setting himself up for a downfall and was simply waiting for the truth to be exposed.
