Chapter 66 - The Kidnapper

On Milan's way out of his office, the last person he expected to bump into was Brienna.

Once Brienna saw Milan, she lets out a nervous laugh.

"Goodmorning sir"

Milan nodded.

"Good morning. How are you feeling today?"

Brienna looks down at her feet nervously.

"I-Im feeling good. Uh- how are you, sir? "

Brienna stuttered on her words.

"I'm good as well. I have a lot of work to do today, though. So I have to get to it. "

Milan proceeds to leave, but Brienna stops him.

"Uhm- Please, can you spare me some of you time?"

Milan pauses in his step and decides to hear her out while still keeping his usual blank expression.

Brienna takes in a deep, long breath before she speaks.

"Thank you for taking me home last night, and I'm sorry if I caused you any trouble at all, sir."

Milan sends her small smile.

"It's not a problem."

Brienna smiles at him.

"I'm glad to hear that. I don't mean to keep you any longer, sir, so I'll be on my way then. "
