Charles asked the driver to turn around immediately, and while his guards were baffled, and wondered what was going on, they had no choice than to stay calm.Charles was beginning to have different thoughts about what Angela had to say about the poisoning. He was beginning to suspect that he might have detained the wrong person.Although, he felt a bit excited about it not being the maid, because he really wanted to believe that she wasn’t the one who tried to eliminate his life for personal gains. As soon as he got to the station, they allowed him to see Angela, one on one.“So, this can make you rush over to the station to see me.” Angela scoffed, and smacked her lips. “Get straight to the point. You know about the poison. Speak!” Charles urged her, not ready to dilly-dally around.“Alright, actually, I thought about this deeply. I thought about what I could do to make you know that I have really changed, and deserve a second chance.”“So?”“I decided to confess of my wrong doings,
Charles moved closer to Mrs. Campbell with a confused look on his face.“What’s going on, Mrs. Campbell?” “Welcome back, Mr. Charles.” She smiled weakly. “I’m just glad that my name was cleared, and that I have been released. Thank you for ensuring that they released me today.” She appreciated him.Charles smiled, but he wasn’t satisfied with her answer yet, and he was waiting for more.“I’m grateful you gave me a chance to work in this beautiful home, but at this point, I think I may not be able to handle working here again. I would love to go back to my hometown.” She said to Charles, and gave the floor a long stare.Charles was a bit shattered because he knew he let her down, and she was no longer comfortable staying with him if she wasn’t able to gain his full trust. He didn’t know how to make it up to her even when he really wanted her to stay, but he thought deeply to himself that it could probably be for the best if she left.He couldn’t really trust people because of all the b
Charles got to the bottom of the stairs, and was wondering what his next action should be. If he had brought his phone along, he would have dialed James’ number, and his security guards as well.“How did they break into my house? They must be experts at this for them to have achieved this.” He thought to himself. Then he saw the shape of something sitting on the center table. He couldn’t make out what it was exactly, but he noticed there were other things there. He slowly found his way to the switch, and when he did, he turned on the light.“Surprise!” Vera and James voiced out together.Charles was dumbfounded, and still couldn’t believe his eyes. He never expected James and Vera to come to his home to throw a surprise party or whatever they intended to do right now.It was even more surprising to have Vera do this as well.“You both had me there. What’s the surprise for?” Charles asked, out of curiosity.“Well, you’ve been working a lot, lately. So, we decided to throw a small party
Charles stared at Simon blankly for a few moments, unable to say a word. There was no way he really caught on that easily. He was probably just joking. How could Simon see him at one glance, and decide he was there in disguise? That was just plain impossible.“Disguise?” He finally asked, finding the right words. “Yeah. Just look at you.”“I don't know what you're talking about.” Charles replied, going back to the grass he was trimming.“You think you can trick me, eh? You're no lawn mower. Look at the crappy way you're trimming the grass. You think anyone can be a lawn mower because it's a kind of underrated job here? Who are you?” Simon insisted, moving even closer to Charles. “You keep saying words I don't understand, and you're bothering me. I'm trying to concentrate here.”“You're someone else. I know it.”“I'm not anyone else. I'm just Andrews Jacob who's seeking employment.” Charles snapped, accidentally taking out his frustration, and fear on the grasses, and cutting them in
She stopped, and turned as they passed her by slowly. Charles, who was looking around at the extravagant lights used on the ceiling, happened to turn, and caught sight of Mrs. Lincoln staring at him. She squinted her eyes further, but he turned his face away slowly.“Sorry, Simon. I need to use the restroom.” He lied, looking around frantically.“Do you really need to go? Let's make it back to the lawn first. The restroom is a little far away from here. I would not like to return.”“Then, when do I get to use the restroom? When? If we go back to the lawn, then the restroom would become even farther. Do I really have to wait? It's killing me like crazy. I have to go.” He whispered, holding on to Simon's arm.“Are you serious? Why didn't you know you wanted to use the restroom when we were walking past it?” Simon snapped, jerking Charles' hands off him.“I didn't know it was a restroom.” Charles snapped back, and Simon glared at him. “Follow me.” He said, and turned around, grumbling.

Charles was really excited on the inside, and out of instinct, he could have jumped on it immediately, showing how much he had been waiting for such an offer, but he composed himself.“What do you say to it, young man?” Sandra questioned. She was also wondering why he had not said yes just immediately after she gave him the offer. This got her more interested in him as she stared at him, scanning him from his head to his toes. She thought to herself that he would make a good employee if he didn’t usually jump at any offer which anyone made to him. At least, that would make him a trustworthy employee.“I actually I’m surprised, ma’am. I didn’t know what I did to deserve such kindness.” Charles finally spoke, acting like he was really touched by her offer.Sandra changed her standing position, and exhaled. She was glad because his response sounded like things were going to be positive which meant that he was going to say yes to it.“You seem like a unique man who has unique abilities. Yo
