Aidan woke up with pains aching all over him, he remembered being hit by a car, and he could swear it was intentional, the car meant to kill him, being a blind man doesn't mean his sense of reasoning is blind too.

"You're awake finally." He heard a voice say. There was excitement in the voice, and it sounds vaguely familiar to him. He just couldn't place where he'd heard it before.

He made to stand up but the hand held him down and said, "relax beauty, you're saved."

"Jonas!" Aidan gasped, surprise evident in his voice.

"What's happening?" He asked, "take me away from here, my life is in danger in this house." He said alarmingly, making a way to stand up again.

Once again, Jonas held him down, "you're completely safe Aidan, the Pedros have no idea you're here, we're not within their reach." He said, reassuring him.

"Why do you feel you're not safe in Pedro's environment again? Remember, that house used to be your heaven on earth."Jonas asked as Aidan relaxed.

"You won't believe what happened last night....."

"Nope. Not yesterday's night, two weeks ago. You've been in a coma for two weeks. The accident you had got you real hard, so you've been laying here for two weeks." Jonas explained.

"Where did you find me?" He asked.

"Where you get hit by a car." Jonas answered.

Aidan smiled despite his situation, "stop being sarcastic now, how did you find me? Where's this place? How did you afford my treatment? You're just a gardener." Questions popped out of his mouth.

"You still haven't answered my question young man, don't expect me to answer yours." Jonas said coolly.

"My wife turns out to be a crook, Jonas..." He said pain evident in his voice, "she...she...."

"Spare yourself the pain and spare the long story. I've known this, but I know if I tell you, you'll never have believed me. You have so much love and trust in your wife, and a man in love would hear nothing against the woman he's in love with." Jonas said as he stared at the pain-washed man he's been on the lookout, for years.

"You're getting me more confused, how did you know?" he asked again.

"You'll get to know soon." Came the sharp reply.

Convincing this man wouldn't be easy, thought Jonas.

"I have this guts feeling that the Pedros are responsible for my accident. Arissa's talks are still echoing in my brain." He said remembering what happened in Arissa's bedroom and he got hold of the bedspread tightly.

"I wish to spread pain in that family. They've ruined my life, they want me dead." He said bitterly.

"Indeed, they're responsible for your accident, and they want to end your pathetic life." Jonas confirmed his suspicion.

Aidan's face was enraged, his suspicion was confirmed and this got him more confused. "Why would they want me dead? They are very influential people, I'm a blind man, I stand no threat to them." He said almost in tears, this is too much to bear, he'd take that family as his own.

"That my boy is where you get it all wrong. This isn't the first attempt made to end your life." He said.

Surprise masked Aidan's face, "why would they want me dead? How could they loathe me to such an extent? I've never done anything but love that family."

"There's more, your blindness isn't permanent as the optician announced to you, it can be operated on, and you'll start seeing in no time." Jonas revealed.

The more he revealed, the more confused Aidan became. His in-laws listed one of the top ten richest men in the States, his eye surgery would cost them nothing. Why would they choose to let him stay blind?

As he ruminates over his thoughts, Jonas turned on the TV, Aidan could hear the newscaster broadcasting breaking news about his death, which happened a few weeks ago, and sending condolences to Pedro, this got him more confused. How's he dead? There must be a mix up.

"Don't get such a confused expression on your face, my boy. You're dead to the World." He revealed.

"Ho...how?" Aidan stammered, "I'm alive and breathing, how am I dead?" He shouted.

"Don't be too shocked, after the accident plotted by the Pedros, I made a plan and switched you with a dead body, who's exactly like you in stature at the accident spot. The only thing was that his face was disfigured." Jonas explained to the infuriated man sitting on the bed.

Aidan was trying to suppress his anger but he was too infuriated as he stood up, kicking things in his way. Jonas let him vent his anger. Anger was his only weapon against the insidious pain that licked through his veins. When he finally cooled off, he asked. "Why? Why are you doing this?"

"I won't waste your time and mine on this issue, so I'll go straight to the point. I've been keeping an eye on you for years, I'll have tried to convince you and tell you the reason I'm here in the United States but you wouldn't have listened to me." Jonas explained.

"What are you talking about?"

"My boss has an interest in you, I'll have love to tell you everything but it's not within my power to do so, I'm nothing but a mere servant to him."

He inhaled sharply, re-imposing control over his raging inferno.

"So where's this man in question?" Aidan asked blandly.

"In Greece, waiting for you. To meet him, you'll have to get your eye treatment done by one of the best opticians in the world. A new chapter awaits you in Greece." Jonas explained.

"And why should I trust you?" Aidan asked, kicking against something, "everyone I've ever trusted betrayed me."

"And why shouldn't you trust me? I saved you from the brink of death, and care for you and I'm offering you a chance to see again. I gain nothing by betraying a blind orphaned man."

Letting his words sink into his very being. Aidan is willing to do anything to see again and this man is offering him a chance to, he wishes to exert revenge on Pedro and he'll take any chance to see that happening.

Staying here is risky for him, so he agreed to follow Jonas to Greece and see the man behind the whole operation.

Aidan was taken from the United States in a private jet, and as promised, immediately he lands in Greece, he was taken to the hospital and the best opticians from across the world operated on him, and he could see once again, his joy knew no bounds, and his anger was still burning at the same time, but Jonas assured him that he'd have his revenge soon.
