Facing Off

The fight is now over. The Vipers are going to begin retreating as their orders have been terminated. Daemon doesn’t need to be killed now because that is the command given by their employer. They couldn’t care less if they can’t kill Daemon. All they care about is whether or not they’re going to be properly compensated and, from the amount that’s being reflected on their bank, this part’s been properly handled by their employer.

Snake continued walking in the darkness of the night. Moonlight isn’t reaching him at all, almost as if it’s purposely avoiding him. If that’s not the case, then it’s probably the shadows of the night that’s covering him. Protecting him from this same illumination as he continued moving in total darkness.

The headquarters is far from where he is. But he doesn’t mind the travel. After all, he’s doing this just in case he meets up with a certain someone. A person who, in that very moment, finally appeared.
