Interrogation

“You’re awake. That’s splendid.” These are the first words that came out of Desmond’s lips as soon as he entered the room where Daemon’s being kept. The tone used is both indifferent and nonchalant. None of the usual vibrant tone of the old man can be heard.

“There are a lot of things we need to talk about.” Desmond added.

“Miss Naga’s dead.” Daemon said which made Desmond look at his eyes for a couple of seconds.

“Yes that seems to be the case.” Desmond replied as he sat at the chair beside Daemon’s bed. “What about it?”

Desmond continued speaking in the same tone. There’s no playfulness, though Daemon shouldn’t expect something like that when talking about the death of a comrade.

“Nothing. I just wanted to confirm it from you.” Daemon added.
