As Ethan laughed, Paul's patience wore thin, and he demanded an explanation. "What's so amusing, Ethan? Are you that happy you died? he asked, his smirk replaced by irritation.

Ethan finally composed himself and leaned back, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Oh, Paul, you and our new 'partner' here seem to think you've outsmarted me," he said, his voice dripping with amusement.

The white-haired man, who had been silent until now, finally spoke up. "And what makes you think we haven't?" he retorted, his tone cold and guarded.

Ethan's smile didn't waver. "Because, my dear ‘partner’, I've known about your little act from the beginning," he replied casually.

The white-haired man's expression remained stoic, but a hint of surprise flickered in his eyes. "How?" he asked, trying not to show any vulnerability.

Ethan chuckled. "I know the game of deception very well," he said. "Your sudden betrayal of Paul and wanting to join forces with me was a bit too convenient."
