In an instant, countless holes appeared on the walls from all directions. Each hole was perfectly round and measured about the size of a child's fist. But what was even more curious was that from each hole sprouted an arrowhead made of glowing magic stone.

The arrowheads gave off a dazzling light that illuminated the entire room. As soon as the holes and arrowheads appeared, they started to move as if controlled by an unseen force. They shifted and adjusted themselves until all the arrowheads were pointing directly at Adam and the others.

The creature said, "You have failed to answer the riddle. Now, face the consequences."

Panic could be seen on the faces of everyone in the room as the arrowheads started to close in. They knew that they had to act fast, and Adam stepped forward, raising his hands.

"Wait!" he cried out.

The creature paused, its eyes fixed on Adam.

"Speak quickly," it growled.

Adam took a deep breath, thinking of his answer. And then, he said, "Footsteps."
