"It's not the end of the world, Collette. Don't beat yourself up too much." Aster consoled a disheartened Collette.

"I don't have a job, Aster. Mason Harrison, the only person who could've helped me, planned to force himself on me." Collette sighed, resting her head on the headrest.

"Which is why Adair beat him up. You shouldn't think of going to such a pervert for assistance." Aster warned. Then asked, "By the way, why do you have to worry about what your family eats while Adair does nothing?"

"Because he doesn't remember who he is completely. And he doesn't have certificates to apply for a decent job."

Something flashed in Aster's eyes. "I can put in a word or two for him. I'm sure my father will employ him if I speak well of him."

"I don't want to keep depending on you, Aster." Collette sighed.

Aster clenched her jaw tightly before reaching out to hold Collette's hands, "You're my best friend, Collette. My life will be meaningless, filled with work and what my father expects
