Adair drove into the school's premises with Halsey clinging tightly to her seat.

"Are you sure you're going to be alright?" Adair asked for the nth time.

"You talk like I have a choice. Besides, it's a miracle I woke up to see I've healed completely. I'm also thrilled that I will finally be able to go to school." Halsey smiled, trying to remain cheerful.

Adair stared at her for a few seconds before nodding. "Alright, let's get to the headmaster's office."

The duo got down from the car and headed towards the direction on the map pointed them to. They hadn't come early. So as a result, pupils were already in class and only a few stubborn ones were seen lurking around the school's premises.

They finally got to their destination and Adair knocked on the door. The person inside seemed to have been expecting them as he answered almost immediately.

"Come in."

Adair pushed the door open and ushered Halsey in, then walked in and gently closed the door.
