Kidnapped.

At the announcement of his mother's death, Ryu felt a sudden sense of emptiness, one he couldn't quite grasp at the moment. His heart ached so hard that they felt numb, even the urge to cry over the death of his mother was gone.

He fell back to the chair he had previously been seated on, his eyes hollow as he stared down at the tiled floor, not quite registering his environment.

His mother was really gone? She was no more, she would never wake up to hold his hands or call his name. The realization of his new reality began to slowly sink in, his breathing soon turned labored as his throat ached from the urge to cry.

"Good day sir, we are from the JP Housing Corporation. Our Chairman, Mr Langley Austin has demanded your presence. Kindly cooperate and come with us or we will be left to use force," A young man introduced himself while standing before the devastated Ryu with two other men behind him, all three were dressed in clean black suits with their hair neatly styled, they looked polished and sophisticated while appearing pretty serious.

However, Ryu paid them no attention, he didn't even acknowledge their presence as he was way too wrapped around his thoughts to even notice or give the three men a proper response.

His eyes soon turned teary and his vision blurry as he clenched his jaw tight in a failed attempt to hold back the tears that were threatening to fall down his now swollen eyes

The waiting hall where he sat was very much empty with only four people in it, which were Ryu and the three strange men.

But the men were patient enough, understanding he was grieving his loss, they stood by and stared down at him with no sign of sympathy on their faces.

A few minutes flew by and the Doctors rolled a stretcher out from the operation room, it had a body on it covered with white cloth. Ryu immediately stood up and held the stretcher, stopping the Doctors from moving any further, he slowly opened the white cloth to reveal the pale face of his beautiful mother.

She looked so pale and her face felt cold to his touch. No longer being able to hold back his tears, Ryu wailed out loud with hot tears rolling down his cheeks and they fell on the dead woman's face.

"Please... please," Ryu murmured, wishing she could open her eyes by some kind of miracle but that would never happen. She was dead and gone and all of it was his fault, if only he had been at least capable of doing something.

Hatred and regrets soon filled Ryu's heart as he couldn't help but blame himself. He felt responsible for his mother's untimely death.

However, Ryu wasn't given enough time to grieve over his mother because soon enough, one of the three men quietly walked behind him and pulled out a white cloth at the signal of his colleague, and without Ryu's timely knowledge, he placed the cloth over Ryu's face.

And after much struggling at the sudden action towards him, Ryu slowly fell limb and unconscious with the man holding him in place.

The first man who had introduced them turned to face one of the Doctors and said, "Place her into the private ward and make sure she doesn't wake up, she can't die either. The Chairman will be visiting soon," the Doctors nodded at him and pushed the stretcher away to go get the job they were paid to do done.

Meanwhile, the three men left the hospital with one of them carrying the unconscious Ryu and placing him inside the car and they drove away from the town to a well-known big city in the country.

It was a long journey of over an hour, their car drove straight into the parking lot of a huge mansion situated in a neighborhood known for housing powerful and influential people. After finding a good spot to park, they all got down and one of them pulled Ryu out, carrying him on his shoulders, they stepped into the huge mansion.

Right after stepping into the living room, they were welcomed by the gold and warm brown decor, a normal person would have been awed but the three men were unfazed as they had been here a couple of times in the past.

Going to the top floor of the mansion, they placed the unconscious young man on the soft bed like a sack of potatoes and left the room, they made sure to close the door after stepping out.

Ryu who was unaware of his surroundings and his current state remained unconscious in the guest room of a huge mansion owned by a well-known powerful and influential businessman in the city, he remained there till the next morning.

Poor Ryu wouldn't be prepared for what was ahead of him.
