Combat (III)

“How is the knight doing now?” Lukas asked, turning his back on the now headless kangaroo.

Rus was still in shock when Lukas words pulled her out of her reverie. She looked around and saw that the knight was still knocked out. Rus couldn’t comprehend what had just happened.

The Knight who had participated in numerous dungeon runs before Lukas was knocked out with a single kick from the kangaroo, yet Lukas who was just participating in his second dungeon run had killed that same monster without sustaining any injuries. It was absolutely preposterous.

Lukas paid no attention to the stares Rus directed at him. He was reviewing the fight he just had in his head. While the fight must have seemed perfect and flawless to her, to him it was full of so many flaws. If he had been fighting a different and smarter type of monster who actually used its head and not just its brawns, then the fight would have gone way differently than it did.
