The ride to the specified dungeon was long and uneventful. Apart from the constant chattering of Eipi who sat beside Lukas, there was nothing note worthy about the trip. After travelling for 8 hours, an hour extra than the expected time, they finally got to the destined dungeon.The dungeon's entrance was slightly larger than the previous dungeon Lukas had visited, and it had a different color than Ariel's castle, the F-ranked dungeon.There were massive swirling yellow circles which served as the entrance to the F-ranked dungeon. The Kangaroo noticed the disturbed mana flow underneath its feet and jumped up to escape Lukas first spell.If it were before Lukas ingested the mana core, it might have worked due to how long it took Lukas mercury to spread across the ground. This time however, reinforced with the effects of the mana core, Lukas spell was cast almost instantly.The mercury spell trapped one of the hind legs of the monster kangaroo. Lukas instantly changed the state of his element from liquid to solid, chaining the leg of the kangaroo down.The speed of transition was so quick that the Kangaroo had no idea what hit it. It tried to wrestle its leg free but it was futile. After ingesting the mana core, the strength grip of Lukas spell had doubled. It would take serious physical strength to break through from the spell.Lukas himself was shocked at the effects of the mana core on his spells. “How is the knight doing now?” Lukas asked, turning his back on the now headless kangaroo.Rus was still in shock when Lukas words pulled her out of her reverie. She looked around and saw that the knight was still knocked out. Rus couldn’t comprehend what had just happened.The Knight who had participated in numerous dungeon runs before Lukas was knocked out with a single kick from the kangaroo, yet Lukas who was just participating in his second dungeon run had killed that same monster without sustaining any injuries. It was absolutely preposterous.Lukas paid no attention to the stares Rus directed at him. He was reviewing the fight he just had in his head. While the fight must have seemed perfect and flawless to her, to him it was full of so many flaws. Huge.That was the only word to describe the monster. It was incredibly huge. Even the monster Lukas had seen in the F-ranked dungeon Ariel’s castle wasn’t as huge as this. It was completely out of his expectations.Lukas wasn’t the only one affected by the size of the monster. Not only was the monster huge, it was incredibly imposing. The aura it gave off alone suffocated them, and Lukas found himself losing the will to fight.The monster screeched loudly before making a full appearance. Lukas gulped. He should have known what kind of monster it was the moment he stepped into the monster’s lair. They were only one type of monsters that loved staying in tall trees; birdlike monsters.The monster was similar to a hawk, but it was extremely huge. The monster bird glared at the group of hunters, pain and anger in its stare. Its gaze was particularly fixed on Lukas. If it weren’t for his ruthless attack on its right eye, then it wouldn’t have been badly injured by the attacks launched on it.The monster instantly recognized the largest threat in the team from that single attack. It knew it had to kill Lukas as soon as possible; otherwise its chances of winning the fight would be reduced drastically. The silver haired hunter might not look it, but he was extremely dangerous.Lukas noticed the change in the monster’s gaze almost immediately and frowned. The monster had picked him as a priority target which meant that most of the attacks would be directed at him.Unknown to the monster, this change mattered little to Lukas. There was no way they were leaving the dungeon without killing the monster, so they needed to kill it, regardless of what the monster thought. The hunters exited the dungeon with Sivanthe being the last to exit as usual. Lukas stood still for a minute basking in the aftermath of the dungeon run. From this single dungeon run he had gained several insights about practical combat. Even though he was not at the level he wanted to be yet, the fact that he was improving steadily served as a huge morale boost to him.Eipi as usual showered several praises on Lukas about his contribution to the dungeon run on their way back to the Guild building. Lukas of course kept mute and listened to Eipi chatter on about their dungeon run. Eipi finally kept shut when they got to the Guild building.Following the normal routine, when they all alighted from the van, the team members waved goodbye to each other before finding their separate ways back home. The new rule passed by the Chairman of the Hunter Alliance created a buzz among the Hunters. As expected, the hunters and Guilds were not welcoming of such rule. They had reported to the Hunter Alliance in hopes of them providing a reasonable solution, but instead all they got was a ban telling bronze ranked hunters not to participate in dungeon runs. Of course they were several bronze ranked hunters or Guilds who disregarded this rule and went ahead on dungeon runs. However their ending was far from ideal. The bronze ranked hunters all had their hunter’s license revoked permanently while the Guilds involved were given a 12 month ban on participating in dungeon runs. A 12 month ban was similar to crippling the Guild’s flow of profit because they couldn’t rely on expeditions alone, needless to say that dungeon runs were twice as profitable as expedition.
