Safe at Last

Ayleen walked through the rainy forests, the danger level significantly lower the past few minutes. She had walked through the dark forests with caution, but she didn't come across any monster. Not even a single one.

At first, she was unsure if the monster had reduced in quantity when she walked, but now she was sure of her theory. The monsters were no longer appearing as frequently as before.

This was extremely good news for her. At least, she was now sure that her journey to the camps would be unhindered, and most especially safe. If she could get to the camps, she would be able to finally confirm the status of her childhood friend.

Despite her thoughts, Ayleen walked carefully through the forests. The fact that the monsters had reduced in size didn't mean that they had disappeared altogether. The monsters were still at large, so she didn't dare be careless, not when her life was at stake. Better safe than sorry.

She resumed walking, aiming to reach the camps as soon as she could. H
