The Connection

Chapter 1 - Bravery

Today's story begins on a hot sunny day. A boy named Jerry was on his way to school when he passed by another classmate's house. He saw their house was being surrounded by cops armed with guns. He asked people around what's going on and they all said apparently there's a serial killer who broke into that house. 

Jerry asked, "Why the hell aren't the cops going in to get him."

 The other people said apparently the serial killer is holding people hostage. Jerry ran in the house, grabbed a knife and rushed for the serial killer and tried stabbing him, but the serial killer stabbed Jerry in the leg. Jerry fell and grabbed the serial killer and told the people living there and said "Quickly! Get out of here while I keep him busy." 

They ran out but Jerry's classmate said, "You idiot, you should've just stayed out of this, thank you."

 "Don't worry about it now run! ", Jerry replied. 

When they were all out, they told the cops the situation. The cops went 1 by 1 and found the boy and the serial killer on the ground fighting. The cops took down the serial killer and restrained him. Jerry was on the floor holding his stomach and took the knife out both his right leg and his stomach. The ambulance came and rushed in to help Jerry and put him on a stretcher. Jerry's classmate asked the paramedics if he's going to be okay. 

The paramedics responded, "We're not sure he might make it, he'll need a miracle to survive."

 The ambulance drove back to the hospital. 

The cops arrested the serial killer and Jerry's classmate and the rest of the people who lived there were taken back to the police station for interrogation about the whole situation that went down. 

The following day the police informed Jerry's school on what happened and also his caretakers were informed. Later that day at the hospital Jerry's classmate went to the hospital to check on Jerry. 

"Excuse me what's your name?", asked the receptionist. 

"My name is Marleen.", replied Jerry's classmate.

 Marleen went to Jerry's ward. Marleen asked the nurse how he's doing and she said, "He's recovering slowly but it'll be a while until he's fully recovered." Marleen was relieved to hear Jerry will recover. 

"Are you, his girlfriend?", asked the nurse.

 "NO! Of course, not this idiot, never!", replied Marleen. 

"Marleen... is that you?", asked Jerry.

 Marleen quickly replied, "Jerry are you okay?"

 Jerry barely awakened told Marleen he's happy she's okay and that she should forget about him and pretend as if he never existed.
