Chapter 13

Everyone seemed surprised by the black card Joshua was carrying. They even widened their eyes when they saw it, especially when the two men did not have the same card that Joshua wore.

"Is that a real black card?" Harper still widened her eyes. She stared firmly at the black card in Joshua's hand. "I'm not sure if it's a real black card." Harper seemed to doubt Joshua. He was much more confident that Joshua was a poor man.

"You're right, Harper. I'm also very sure that it's a fake card. He's a poor man and certainly doesn't have that black card. If he did, of course, he would have bought it long ago. But he can't even buy one of the cheapest cakes in this place." Frank also doubted Joshua.

Harper laughed at Joshua's stupidity, "The poor guy pretends to have a black card, and I'm pretty sure it's not going to work at all." They laughed together afterward.
