The injuries on Darius’ body started healing at a pace visible to the naked eye. James watched the process intently. He had no doubts that the golden liquid could cure Darius completely. However despite his trust in his liquid, he could not help worrying for his grandson.

The healing process went on for over five minutes due to the severity of the injuries Darius obtained, with James watching over Darius during the duration of the healing. During the duration of the healing process, smelly black pus kept being ejected from Darius skin. James quickly called the attention of the maids in the mansion.

The black pus wasn’t the only thing that was ejected from Darius body. His hair was also shed, and new one could be seen growing on his bald head. He shifted a lot on the bed and at a single glance one could tell that he was in severe pain.

The maids quickly got to work the time they arrived. They undressed him neatly and washed off the black pus off his skin before changing his sheets.

The look his grandfather had on his face was the look of someone who had been in charge of a company that was on top of the food chain for over 40 years. The looks on everyone’s faces instantly changed. At first they were surprised by the appearance of such a flashy and expensive sports car, but when they saw who the car belonged to, any trace of surprise and admiration they felt for the owner of the car vanished immediately. They now had looks of contempt on their faces. It was expected, as the crimes Luke Erihal had committed weren’t petty ones. They were grave ones, and not only that, he was even a repeat offender! Luke noticed the looks of contempt directed at him, but could care less about that. He didn’t care about what some students thought about him, especially at this crucial juncture. His family was on the verge on being bankrupt, and it was a well known fact that if they were unable to receive external funds to improve their stock prices, by the end of today, the Erihal Group would cease to exist. The top business tycoons knew that the Erihal Group had most definitely offended a tall figure in the corporate world, which w

The students all sucked in a cold breath when they arrived at that conclusion. Such conclusion meant that Darius was even more impressive than they thought. It was very unnerving that such a brilliant figure was frolicking in the university as a poor and wretched figure! Darius on the other hand was still glaring at Luke with unbridled hostility. He didn’t care a single bit about Luke’s apology. He wasn’t a saint or a martyr, so how was he supposed to forgive someone who came after his life? It was simply an irreconcilable action! He was also having a hard time believing that Luke was truly remorseful for his actions. Perhaps he was only willing to beg for leniency because the protection of the Erihal Group would be nonexistent if the Erihal Group went under. “I’m sorry, but I cannot help you out. I have no idea who is behind the targeted actions toward the Erihal Group, therefore there’s nothing I can do.” Darius said coldly. Even though he was itching to beat up Luke, he reigned

He turned to leave. "You need to get to work, and I need to return to my hotel to get some rest."Gabriel stopped. Darius' words made him hesitate. "I'm sorry to be asking this because I don't think it's my place, but it's probably better for me to ask anyway. I don't remember there being any hotels nearby."You should head home if you wanna get some rest. I don't understand why you're heading to a hotel to rest."Darius raised an eyebrow, looking surprised. In truth, there's nothing for you to worry about."He stretched his neck and continued, "I know very well how bad the consequences of destroying this building will be. Aside from those silly regulations, I'll also need to pay for it. I might be wealthy, but that doesn't mean I'll enjoy forking out a huge sum of money as compensation."Darius spread his hands and shrugged. At the same time, he pointed at the window and turned to look at Gabriel. Then, he said, "Look. The windows are perfectly fine. They're not even scratched. That shows my life force is non-destructive."That's why you have nothing to worry about. You can put your heart back into your chest."Gabriel straightened up and sighed in relief. "We're classmates from the same major, too! We were interns at Dream Investment Group, remember? And we got kicked out on our first day. You broke my legs because of a tiny argument we had outside the building! The surveillance cameras captured all of this!" Noah cried.Darius tucked his hands into his pockets and rolled his eyes. Any footage that can be tampered with can also be restored."Noah's eyes widened in shock. He gulped and tried to think of a way to explain away the injuries Darius had inflicted on him. Still, he couldn't think of anything. Before he had the chance to think any further, Darius spoke. He said, "There's one thing you got right, though. He sounded mocking as he said, "You've lost me there. I tried to puzzle it out, but it doesn't make sense at all."Why would I want to get my hands on the Reid Consortium's fortune? Even without it, I'm perfectly independent. I don't need it to survive."Gabriel crossed his arms and looked at Noah mockingly. "Or maybe you're different from the rest of us. Gabriel sounded gentle, but everyone knew that was far from the truth. This was especially true for Noah, who sat across from him. He felt incredibly nervous. He shut his eyes and breathed rapidly.Noah never would've expected to still be in danger after being taken in by the authorities. He frowned and looked up at Gabriel. "So, are you determined to help Darius now?" His voice was shaky, and his eyes were wide because of his nerves. His emotions were clear as he looked at Gabriel. Gabriel bit his lip, feeling like he was about to laugh. To stop Noah from noticing, he quickly exhaled and sat down with one leg over the other. At the same time, he leaned forward to place his hands on the desk.He tapped his fingers on the desk quickly but rhythmically. Gabriel's eyes were devoid of emotion as he looked at Noah.
