It’s been five days since Leo learnt that he had super healing. He was no longer restricted to his room and could walk around and attend classes. But he was still bandaged all over though, in order to keep his healing abilities a secret.
Logan came by his house and walked him to school. He had been doing this for Leo for two days now and he tries to support Leo when he’s about to fall. Leo had all of his face covered with bandages, except for his eyes and nostrils. He wasn’t using crutches since the doctor said his back was not in any way damaged, which happened to be extremely shocking to him. When they got to school, people gave Leo different looks. Looks of fear, anxiety and pity. Some of them were even murmuring about him. “Who’s that guy covered in bandages? He looks like an Egyptian mummy.” A guy laughed. The person beside him gave him a look of disdain. “Aren’t always aware of your surroundings?! That’s Leo, the new guy in our school. He got involved in an accident two months ago.” He explained. “Really? I didn’t know it was him. Poor lad.” The first guy replied as they all watched Leo and Logan walk into the school’s hallway. “But why’s Logan so close to him? They barely even know each other. Logan doesn’t have anything to do with him. It’s his fault he got crippled in the accident.” Rita, Leo’s classmate and spotlight in the school said. She admires Logan and somehow dislikes Leo for his high ‘intelligence’ and she sees him as someone who’s arrogant… or so she says. “Don’t talk that way. That’s what we should even do for him. After all, he’s our classmate.” Joan argued. Rita just scoffed and turned away while Joan felt pity for Leo. It was not like Leo really cared about what anyone says about him. He and Logan were still walking along the hallway and chatting when Leo decided to brief Logan on his discovery. “I need to show you something Logan,” he said as he dragged him to the bathroom, “Come with me.” Logan was dumbfounded. ‘What the hell…’ he thought. ‘Could this guy have turned gay?’ Leo dragged him until they entered one of the toilets. He then began to take off his clothes, leaving Logan startled. “Whoa, slow down Leo. I don’t do that kind of stuff…” Logan protested and covered his eyes, not wanting to see Leo nakedness. Leo gave him a confused look. “What kind of stuff?” He asked, confused. Logan pointed at the toilet and gestured about Leo taking off his clothes. This made Leo feel disgusted when he finally understood what Logan meant. “Eww, dude, I have a girlfriend and I don’t do that.” He said with disdain and continued to remove the bandages on his body. Logan was still surprised, “Wait, you have a girlfriend? Who’s she?” He began to ask with enthusiasm. Leo became frustrated. “Her name is Tracy and she’s at Sunshine city. But that’s not the point right now.” He claimed angrily. Logan’s excitement slowly became confusion. “Then why are we here? And why are you taking off your clothes?” He asked as he looked at Leo’s totally bandaged body. Even if Leo was gay, nobody would want to make out with a barbecue. “I want to show you something but you gotta promise me that this will be between us.” Leo requested. Logan gulped hard, not knowing what Leo was about to show him, but he slowly nodded and prepared for the worst. Leo was relieved. He trusted Logan already so it wasn’t a problem to tell him first. He looked outside and heard the person in the next bathroom stall flush and come out, trying to zip up his trousers. Not hearing anything else, Leo concluded that that was the last person in the bathroom. Leo shut the door and began to loosen the bandage on his body. Logan was about to protest but stopped suddenly as he saw the unscathed skin underneath the bandage and was shocked. “What the hell! How is this possible?” He yelled. “I’m just as surprised as you are.” Leo replied with a low tone. Logan used his hand to feel Leo’s skin. “How long have you been like this?” he inquired. “About five days now.” “What in the world is going on? Are you Wolverine in disguise? If you are, it’s such an honour to meet you…” Logan began to shake Leo’s hand and acted like a diehard fan of Leo. Leo gave Logan an unamused look. ‘You’re the one named Logan[1] not me.’ He thought to himself as he watched Logan display stupidity. “Shut up dude. This is serious. I’m totally uncomfortable being completely healed but still wrapped up like barbequed fish.” It was at this moment that they heard the bathroom door circling round its hinges. Another presence had welcomed himself into the bathroom. The person rushed into one of the stalls and eased himself and the sound of the natural fountain could be heard. Leo and Logan paused and went mute. After a few seconds, the boy finally squeezed out his last drop and he left the bathroom. “Sighs” They both sighed heavily. They had been holding their breaths during the duration that the guy entered the bathroom and left. “Okay, so what are you gonna do?” Logan broke the silence. “I think I’ll go have a meeting with Dr. Cartel about this. I have a feeling he knows what’s happening to me.” Leo replied as he re-bandaged himself. “Dr. Cartel?! The man responsible for your accident?!” Logan gaped. Leo rolled his eyes. “Ugh. What’s it with you guys. I was responsible for the accident. Dr. Cartel would’ve been the one bandaged right now. He would’ve been the in hospital. He might probably have died and then his ambitions would have gone into waste. I decided to take the risk for him because I had almost nothing to lose. He had everything to lose and he just made a breakthrough in gene enhancement. If he had died, it could delay the process a few decades longer. Humanity needs him, humanity doesn’t need me. I was the one who insisted on taking the risk, not him. He tried to stop me but I didn’t listen. I should be the one being blamed, not him.” Leo argued. Logan kept quiet as he was shocked with what Leo said. “What do you mean you have nothing to lose, you have everything to lose. Your friends, your remaining family, don’t tell me you also don’t have ambitions for your own life.” Logan yelled. Leo calmed down and put on a solemn look. “I’ve already accepted my fate long ago. If I die, I’ll just get to join my parents at the other side.” He said with a smile, but a sad one. Logan closed his eyes and shook his head. He felt annoyed and didn’t want to continue the conversation. “Just do what you have to do. I don’t care.” He left Leo to his mindset. Leo smiled. He gave him a slight punch on his shoulder and cheered him up. “C’mon man. At least I’m alive, hale and hearty… and fully healed too.” Leo winked. Logan shook his head in resignation and just sighed. ‘He will never change.’ He thought to himself. They were about to leave when they heard another guy walk into the bathroom. He entered the bathroom stall that was next to the one Leo and Logan was and he quickly took off his trousers. Both Leo and Logan heard the sound of water splashing, followed by some funny sounds of farts and an extremely awful stench. Logan frowned and distorted his face. He covered his nose and Leo did the same as they rushed out of the bathroom at the same time thereby falling to the ground. They could hear the guy fart repeatedly and awful stenches kept following. Leo almost threw up in his bandaged mouth but held it in. The people around the hallway were all surprised as to why Leo and Logan fell out of the bathroom together and were panting heavily. Most of them didn’t bother too much though but some thought that Logan was helping Leo to ease himself because of his condition. This made them feel uncomfortable and they also left too. Leo and Logan were outside the bathroom, breathing heavily and welcoming the nice and fresh air into their respiratory organs. Leo gave the bathroom stall where the boy was in a last look. ‘That toilet will never be the same again.’ He thought. ************ Leo left the school and bid Logan farewell. Logan wanted to walk with him but he refused and Logan didn’t think too much about it, since he was aware that Leo was fully healed. Molly had wanted to pick him up but he had convinced her not to, since he felt that he needed the exercise, and besides, he needed to see Dr. Cartel and he didn’t want his aunt to know about it. He took a taxi to THRL. When he got there, he saw that the place hadn’t changed much. He went in and stopped at the receptionist desk. She was busy with some files so when he got her attention and she saw his face, she was startled. “Oh my God…” She screamed and asked, still in shock, “Who are you?” Leo looked calmly at her. He was wearing clothes but beneath them were bandages. All she could see was his eyes and hair. “Hello, I’m here to see Dr. Cartel.” He said. She looked at him with both surprise and suspicion. “I’m sorry, Dr. Cartel is a very busy man—” she wanted to refuse Leo politely as she was even resisting the urge to send him out but she was interrupted. “Tell him it’s urgent. Say that it’s Leonardo Anderson that wants to see him. No matter what he’s doing, he’ll definitely let me through.” Leo insisted. He was calm with his speech. He suspected that his sudden fast healing ability had something to do with the canister with lightning in it which he saw inside the lightning current absorber before it exploded. He also felt that Dr. Cartel was the only one who would know about it since they were the only two people who built the machine and he didn’t remember seeing something like that in his machine. Seeing that Leo was persistent, the receptionist placed the call reluctantly as she gave him a suspicious look. She didn’t want to place the call at all but the way Leo spoke with so much confidence made her suspect that something was definitely off. ‘What does Dr. Cartel have to do with you.’ She thought. Leo wasn’t in the mood to care about her emotions so he didn’t bother looking at her. Instead, he was busy admiring the building and acknowledging the new things inside this technologically advanced tech company and Laboratory. In the conference room, Dr. Cartel was having a discussion with the board of directors. One of his employees were discussing about some marketing strategy in their vaccine production sector and everyone in the room was staring at the projection on the wall. Dr. Cartel was listening attentively when his phone began to vibrate in his pocket. He was about to turn off his phone but when he checked the number, he was surprised as to why the receptionist would call him. This lady who was his receptionist was also like his a secretary but more of an assistant to his main secretary. He answered the phone and was about to dismiss her, “Whoever it is, tell them to wait downstairs.” He said in a low tone after excusing himself from the conference room. “He says his name is Leonardo Anderson.” The receptionist’s voice sounded from the phone. Dr. Cartel’s eyes suddenly lit up as he was extremely surprised. “I’m coming downstairs right away.” He said hurriedly as he went back into the conference room and adjourned the meeting. He rushed downstairs to see him as happiness and surprise was written all over his face. Leo sat on one of the benches nearby and waited for Dr. Cartel. He was very patient and could pretty much wait for him to finish his meeting since his aunt would think he was studying extra time at school. He suddenly spotted Dr. Cartel and he walked hurriedly towards him. “Leo! You’re back. I wanted to call you but I was forbidden to do so. I can’t believe you actually made it.” De. Cartel said as he gave Leo a hug. “Good to see you too sir.” Leo returned the gesture. The receptionist was dumbfounded. She never thought their CEO would be so intimate with him. Not only that, he actually dismissed an important conference meeting because of him. It was then she remembered who Leo was and this made her both confused and surprised. ‘Isn’t he supposed to be dead?’ She asked herself. “How are you feeling right now?” Dr. Cartel asked. Leo looked around and when he noticed that nobody was listening, he moved closer and whispered in his right ear. “Actually, that’s what I came here to talk about.” He replied with a calm face. Dr. Cartel immediately understood where Leo was going to and he was actually prepared for this. “Come with me.” He said with a deep voice and led the way into his personal lab, where both he and Leo built the Lightning current absorber. It looked like a normal lab and was very spacious. There were different chemical tubes and the three computer monitors on a desk. This place looked like a secret base meant for multipurpose experiments. Robotics building, pharmaceuticals, there was even an MRI machine in the lab. This was Dr. Cartel’s personal laboratory, but some stuffs were actually out there because of Leo. Dr. Cartel had super high hopes for him. “So, what did you want to talk about?” Dr. Cartel asked as he sat on one of the chairs in the lab. Leo solemnly took off his shirt and began removing all bandages covering his upper body. Dr. Cartel wasn’t as shocked as Logan was and he watched carefully. When Leo finally took of the bandages wrapping his body, Dr. Cartel’s eyes widened when he saw Leo’s smooth skin. He ran his hands across Leo’s body and observed it. “You were diagnosed with third degree burns. You’ll have to go through surgery to get back to normal,” He clarified, then looked Leo on the face, “It’s just been a almost three months since the accident and you’ve healed… completely as a matter of fact.” He sounded a bit surprised but it was somehow within his expectations and Leo’s intuition told him he knew what was going on. “I should be dead.” He said wearing his shirt on his bare skin, skipping the bandages, “But here I am, hale and hearty.” “And I have a feeling it has something to do with the capsule I found in one of the hatches and I know that wasn’t supposed to be there…” he said angrily, pointing at the charred lightning absorber. “So I think you owe me an explanation.” He demanded.Dr. Cartel gave him an helpless stare as Leo glared at him and he sighed. “I guess it can’t be helped.” He said helplessly, “Follow me.” He ordered as he led the way to the private elevator in his office.[1] Logan is the name of a mutant called Wolverine.Dr. Cartel led Leo towards an elevator in his office. This elevator, unlike the others was a private elevator. Leo was surprised and usually disgusted by the fact that some rich people decide to make themselves a private elevator instead of using the general one. Seeing the irritated look on his face, Dr. Cartel smiled. “This elevator leads to a special place, a place that not many people in the organization have access to.” He said as he pressed a code to open the elevator. Leo nodded and followed him inside. This elevator was built to go to just one floor, in the building. After entering the verification code, he pushed a small red button on the panel. This button looked like a red arrow pointing downwards. After pushing this button, the elevator began to descend. “What I’m about to show you,” Dr. Cartel said, expressionlessly, “Must be between us.” He then gave Leo a firm look. Leo nodded and Dr. Cartel continued. “What you saw inside the Lightning absorber, was the GE-176 p
Leo was walking down the street towards his house, deep in thought about what Dr. Cartel hypothesized. He was having a feeling of extreme change, like he was no longer sure who he was anymore. Imagine being an extraordinary person and having powers beyond the human scope. He never even thought about it, or expected it. He kept on pondering on Dr. Cartel’s hypothesis. “You were struck by lightning and burned by the fire from the explosion. According to my research, If you were to have powers, it should be lightning related, since lightning struck you first when the GE-176 exploded on your body. Also given that the compound was already charged up, you should have lightning affinity. It's like the compound already found its catalyst before fusing with your body.” Leo recalled Dr. Cartel's hypothesis. He was still bewildered and worried about the troubles his powers would cause him. ‘I really have super powers!?’ He thought to himself, trying to wrap his head around it all. Leo recalled f
BANG! The back door of the van was kicked open by the two robbers, who aimed their guns at the policemen scattered in front of them and opened fire like hell. AAAAAH! The robbers yelled as they fired at will. They had the money bags in their arms. The bigger one was shooting and leaving the scene slowly while the other guy was giving him cover fire. Some civilians were on the scene so Leo ran as fast as he could to get those people away from the scene and prevent them from being hit by stray bullets. A huge gunfight broke out and the policemen could barely find space to shoot them back. The two robbers were using submachine guns while the cops were just using pistols. One of the policemen went to the car and used the radio to request reinforcements, but by the time reinforcements will arrive, the robbers would’ve escaped by then. Most of the cops were hit by the bullets but none of them died, they were only injured. The two robbers quickly rushed into a nearby res
“Hey Leo,” James greeted cheerfully. Tracy called him into her room to see Leo, “I can see you’re looking good. Wow, smooth face and handsome as always…” James commended Leo. Leo closed his eyes and shook his head with resignation. Tracy just face palmed and was frustrated with how foolish James could be. It hadn’t dawned on James that Leo shouldn’t be that ‘handsome’ yet. Tracy and Leo gave him irritating looks. Seeing this, James at this point became confused. “What?!” He asked while searching his brain for what he said wrong, “I’m only complimenting Leo on how handsome he… wait you shouldn’t be handsome yet, you should still be barbecue. You should still be wrapped up…” He blurted as he realized what was happening. Leo rolled his eyes. ‘Why must you always say barbecue!?’ He thought to himself. “Did you get a surgery?” James asked. Tracy decided to leave the talking to Leo because if she replies to James, she’ll either insult him or hit him for asking a stupid question. Leo si
“You’re kidding right?” Logan said with astonishment. Leo explained what had happened the previous day to him and Logan couldn’t believe him. It must have been really absurd to hear your friend has super powers. Leo looked straight and didn’t reply him. Logan then realized that he was dead serious. “So you basically control fire now?!” He asked, his eyes still wide open with shock. “That’s what it looks like,” Leo replied calmly. Logan gave him a doubtful look. He wanted to see him in action with his own eyes, but that was not a curiosity Leo was ready to satisfy at the moment… at least not in school. “It feels like I have a connection to fire, like something inside the fire wants to communicate with me.” He explained. Logan just gave him a more shocked look. Seeing this, Leo decided to stop talking about it. They got to class and he sat in front of Leo as always. They had economics and Mrs. Avery was writing on the board. She got to the class ahead of them in preparation for a n
Sitting on his bed meditating, with legs crossed, hands on his legs and closed eyes, Leo recited a mantra that came to his mind as he thought of mantras to use. His breathing was slow and even. He had been sitting like that for almost an hour. Instead of trying to control his emotions and keeping his calm, he wanted to re-establish the connection he had with his flame powers. “I am fire. The fire is within me. I am one with the flames, born from the ashes of war and strife, to rise as a true born god. The god of fire. The Crimson phoenix. I am…” he kept on repeating those words. At some point, it felt like he wasn’t the only one saying those words. He could hear a female voice reciting those words with him, but anytime he tried to focus on the voice, he didn't seem to hear it anymore. His body felt warmer and it was refreshing and felt nice. He felt energized and high. He also had a feeling that he was finally establishing a connection to something bigger than him. He couldn’t pin
Bouncing the ball repeatedly, Quincy was sweating badly and his breathing was heavy. He was tired and his heart kept thumping faster than a machine. He was playing with all his strength and he was already at his limit. Leo on the other hand hadn’t broken a sweat at all, mainly because he wasn’t actually putting in too much effort. Quincy had a habit of always wanting more. Despite Leo beating him with seventy-two points, he was still resisting and his will didn’t waver at all. He also began to spot a pattern in Leo’s moves and he was adapting to it. However, adapting to superhuman abilities is almost an impossible feat for an ordinary human. Quincy bounced the ball and headed towards Leo who used his super-speed eyes to see through Quincy’s dribble. Everything suddenly became extremely slow in his eyes and Leo smirked, ‘I can do this all day’ He thought. He was thinking about hitting the ball off Quincy’s hand and was just about to spring into action, but Quincy surprised h
Gdoink! Leo dunked the ball hard into the hoop. The whole court was silent and everyone stared at both Leo and the shocked to the core Quincy. They all suddenly started to murmur. “Isn’t that the guy who had an accident and was burned alive? How did he become so strong?” “I don’t know. I heard that he just relocated to this city about a few months ago.” “Really? But even if he is good at basketball, he shouldn’t be that agile for now.” Different opinions kept flowing around the court. Leo stretched and walked towards Quincy, whose whole view of the world had just been shattered by him. He patted Quincy on the shoulder. “Don’t think too much about it. You gave me a hard time playing too. You’ll become as good as me sooner or later.” Leo consoled him, but he was saying something else inside. ‘You’re already better than me. But you won’t be able to catch up to me unless you’ve got super speed. Hahaha,’ he thought devilishly. Quincy who looked gloomy at first sudden
The match finally came to an end, with Elian Comprehensive high emerging victorious with 73 points while Sky Hills high had 19 points. Alexander was so shaken that he dropped to the ground on his knees when the game ended. They already lost their will to win on the third quarter. All they just wanted to do was to not make the distance in their scores not too wide, so as not to get too embarrassed. Even then, after playing basketball for three years, he has never seen a team with this much understanding and cohesion between them. Their teamwork was just to tight, and their methods were extraordinary. Logan and his team cheered for themselves as they were happy that they won. Well, Leo and the remaining third year students weren’t all too excited, and they maintained their cool head. According to Mrs. Hale, Elian Comprehensive would have no problem against the school’s like Sky Hills High, Bennighton Academy, and St. Peter’s High school, as their team was much more stronger. Eve
The whistle for the third quarter blared and the game began. Throughout the game, Tyler and Jackson had been the ones giving them threats and pressuring them. So it would be normal if the players of Sky Hills high put more effort into restraining these two players. However, they didn't do that. Logan ran towards the hoop and suddenly stopped to give instructions to his teammates, however, he got double-teamed by Harris and Luke. Tyler who had the ball pushed forward and passed to Jackson, who was about to receive the ball but it got stolen by Callum. The latter smiled as he passed Jackson by while performing high bounces as he rushed to the opponent’s hoop. Collins stopped him but the latter had the advantage in speed and agility. Collins was a center, but he wasn’t exactly a weak one. Instead, his agility was just lacking a bit. His strength though, could match that of Alexander. Callum did a crossover dribble and Collins fell for it. Going past Elian Comprehensive high’s line
Alexander clenched his fists and grit his teeth as he watched Jackson and his teammates jubilate a little. Just as quick, he calmed down and smiled. “That shall be your last score in this game. I assure you.” He muttered as he received the ball from his teammate, Luke and began pushing forward. It was now their turn to attack. He bounced high repeatedly while running towards the opponent’s hoop but he was just about to get blocked by Tyler. He stopped advancing and began bouncing with his right hand, while holding Tyler back with his left. He used this to buy himself time as he assessed the situation. Too bad, all his teammates were blocked. He saw this as him having no choice but to shoot from where he was. Meanwhile, this was all within Logan’s speculation and he quickly made a quick hand sign to Collins, who nodded and they began moving. Jackson joined the fray too and he took his position three meters in front of Alexander. Logan walked to block Luke, while Collins took his
Loud cheers could be heard inside the basketball court as fans cheered and cheerleaders danced and did a great performance. The players sat on designated benches and watched the performance. After that, the commentator did a quick review of the teams playing and introduced them. Just after that, the game for the day was to commence. “And finally, the moment you’ve been waiting for, the first match of the Sky City Inter high cup. A game between Sky Hills high school…” he said and the fans shouted at the top of their voices to support the team. At the same time, the players of the team rose to their feet and did a quick meeting among themselves. “…and as for the opposing team, a school located in the middle of Sky City, Elian Comprehensive High school.” The commentator introduced. Leo’s teammates got up from their seats and they did a quick meeting among themselves. “Alright boys. This is the moment. No dawdling, no delays, no bad plays. We’ve train so much for this day, so
Molly drove down to the court and she saw the fully dressed Leo sitting on one of the benches. She was blue to notice the little bruises on his face and she could tell that this wasn’t due to training alone. “Leo, are you alright? You seem injured.” She said as she approached him after parking her car. Leo didn’t say anything to respond as he was deep in thought. If there were people like Mr. Zack in the world who had techniques like that but twisted brains, who knew what would happen to the world. He felt like he was really weak, even when he just thought himself strong. Molly bent beside him and inquired about what was wrong with him but Leo was unresponsive. Molly noticed that she was being ignored but she felt like for Leo to be like that, something must’ve happened to him. Also, she noticed some red points on his body, some of which had cuts and bruises on them. “What happened to to? Who did this to you?” She asked with a concerned tone as she op
Mr. Zack braced himself for Leo to make a move. His brain was on the game he was supposed to play with him and nothing else. He focused his eyes on Leo and observed his every movement, no matter how little. The latter lifted the ball and Mr. Zack expected him to bounce the ball and come at him. However, what the boy did next shocked him. BOOM! Instead of bouncing the ball, Leo threw it against the iron fence. The force caused a dent on the wall and the ball was stuck on it. Mr. Zack stared at Leo with astonishment. It takes tremendous amount of force to cause a dent so deep on the iron fence. The dent was so deep that the ball got stuck in it. He looked at the ball and then at Leo. “I said… not interested.” Leo said with a deep and threatening voice. Mr. Zack gave a disappointed face and shook his head. “Too bad…” he said and cracked his knuckles. Leo frowned as he sensed a killing intent and he put up a defensive stance. Like as if h
It was 4 pm and Leo could be seen in a street basketball court. He was panting heavily as he bent slightly and supported his hands on his knees. Sweat was dripping down his body like water. His silky black hair was extremely wet and ran down his face, covering his ears and almost covering his eyes. He caught his breath for a few more minutes before setting all the barriers for himself again and picking up the ball. Leo was training his maneuverability without using his superpowers. He thought that if he could improve as a human, he would exponentially improve with his superpowers too. To do this, he borrowed some traffic cones and barriers from the police station nearby and his school before starting his training. His aunt promised to pick him up when he felt he was done. He arranged the cones in different places and he would do is bounce the ball and go past all those cones and barriers to dunk the ball without touching any of them. Where did he get that idea? It was Mrs. Hale.
Leo was pretty much out of ideas for a lie to tell, and Logan? His brain was running fast and he was looking for a lie that she would buy and that wouldn’t embarrass him too much. After waiting but not getting any response from both boys, Mrs. Hale went on with her complaints. “I don’t have any idea what happened to both of you, but I can tell something fishy is going on.” She implied and leaned closer with her elbows resting on the table, “So I’m asking for an explanation from both of you.” She said. Leo’s expression didn’t change and he instead was waiting for Logan to come up with an idea while he would just play along. He looked at his partner and the other side gave him a look that said it all… ‘I have no idea what to say.’ “Umm…” Leo took the initiative to speak, “I was just too angry at the time and I broke down… emotionally.” Leo revealed. His words weren’t the truth… but they couldn’t be considered a lie either. Mrs. Hale shot him a confused glance, “Too angry that you b
Walking down the hallway of Elian Comprehensive high, hands in his pocket, head dropped and headphones cupped his ears as he enjoyed the beats of the music he was listening to. Leo was in his own world. He wouldn’t bother about anyone around him, and the only thing he would think about were his thoughts. And this was just the right moment for him to be lost in thought. He got to where his locker was, am”ng the line of lockers, and opened it before grabbing a few notebooks and closing it back. However, before he closed it, he sighed. “Do you really have to do this all the time?” He asked as he rolled his eyes and closed the locker door, which revealed the glum-looking Logan behind it. He had sensed that his friend was there. “Why the long face?” He inquired again. Logan who leaned against the lockers with his arms folded stood normally and turned to walk the other way. “We lost the game.” He said. Leo quickly used his padlock to lock his locker before catching up with his friend
