059. Lost Contact

Jasmine went into her room and sat near her bed. She knelt down as she buried her face in her hands. She shed all her sadness there until her face was full of tears. She had avoided Max so much, but her parents still wanted her to stay with him.

After a while, the sound of knocking on the door distracted Jasmine's gaze. She stared at the door and immediately determined not to open it because she was sure that the person behind it was her father.

"Go, Daddy, I'm not in the mood to talk to you!" Jasmine exclaimed.

"Miss, I'm a maid." A soft voice answered from behind the door.

Jasmine wiped away her tears as she took a deep breath. Then she opened the door.

"Mr. Dimitri left this for you," said the maid while handing Jasmine a gift box.

"Thank you."

Jasmine sat on the sofa and opened the gift box. The box contained a tiny teddy bear, a small bouquet of flowers, chocolates, and a letter. She opened the letter.
