117. The Dark of Night

Leon sighed with his hands clenched into fists. The muscles on his face stood out as his sharp hazel eyes stared at Zara. The woman did not hesitate to look down on Leon because, when he was still in college, Leon often borrowed money from her to take Claire to eat her favorite food, and Leon usually returned the money after he got his salary working part time.

Seeing Leon, who was just silent, Zara smiled grinningly. She waved her hand to summon a guard. "Because you didn't want to speak honestly, I'm forced to call the guard. As Jasmine's business partner, I won't let her birthday party be ruined by a poor person like you!” she sneered.

Leon smiled bitterly. In a casual tone, he replied, “Whatever. Let's see who gets kicked out of this party!”

The guard came and asked Zara. "What's happened, Miss?"

“Please throw him out! He snuck in here just to grab some food. He is just a poor man, and of course there is no way Jasmine Braun would invite him here!” Zara exclaimed.
