I'm Adam Browns

"Whose face is this?" said Alex as he watched his face in the mirror. The room he was currently in was shabby. Unlike his luxurious and well-equipped room.

"Adam!"

"Useless son-in-law, come here!" the voice shouted. Alex glanced back. He frowned not understanding.

"Adam?"

"Who is he?"

Alex walked toward the source of the voice. He rounded his eyes to see a middle-aged woman shuffling in front of the door.

"Useless son-in-law!"

"Don't you ever think that I already bought my daughter diamonds, why can't you give diamonds to her?"

Alex was silent for a moment. She was trapped in the body of a useless son-in-law. What a pity. Is this a curse? Was it God's curse because he was always wasting his money?

"Adam!"

Alex let out a long breath. "I'm going to buy your daughter diamonds, Mistress."

"When?"

"Being a servant, can you afford to buy my daughter diamonds? Don't make excuses, it!"

The middle-aged woman pushed Adam's body and almost fell over. She walked towards her room. A beautiful woman ran into the room. She gave Adam a sharp look.

Alex frowned. He thought that the body of the man he was with was very poor and despicable. That woman must be his wife.

"Aren't you supposed to go out for food today? To be a waitress at my family's cafe?" Juni realized that her husband was still in the house. Unlike usual, Adam was still at home and did not immediately go to work.

The man let out a long sigh.

"Why are you always angry, Juni."

Adam got up from his seat.

"I'm going to work, but where is my workplace?"

"You don't know where your workplace is?"

The man nodded.

"Yes!"

Juni let out an exasperated breath.

"I'm telling you, Adam. You are an unwanted servant. I want you to know that your place is Cafe Nomma. A cafe that my family built. Work there because you're a waiter, I'm ashamed to even say this!" Juni explained without pause.

Adam nodded.

"Alright!"

Alex frowned at the man's clothes. He was trapped in Adam Brown's body. A man who works as a cafe waiter. What a curse, he thought.

"I'll take one shirt that's decent for me." Alex looked at his face in the mirror.

"This man's body is unkempt."

"Why to be stuck in this body?"

Alex then walked out of the room as he thought that his appearance was good enough.

"From now on, I'm Adam Browns. Okay, I'll help this despicable son-in-law become a billionaire like me."

"But, what's the date now?" Alex looked at the calendar in the house. His eyeballs widened when he saw the square object. The year 2023? Wasn't it the year 2015 when he was in Diana's apartment? He thought.

Alex let out a long breath.

"Okay, where is Diana now? She's still in the same city, Rome. I'll look for her.”

"Okay, now my name is Adam Brown, I'm Adam, not Alex." Alex tried to convince himself.

Adam immediately went to a cafe. The place was very crowded. A tall man dragged him by the hand to the kitchen.

"Serve your servant well, dishonored son-in-law!"

"You're not recognized in the family at all, you're very poor and I'm very sad for you." The man continued to rant and Adam didn't understand.

"Queni family made you a son-in-law to cover up the case of their daughter. Miss Juni got pregnant, and the man who impregnated her was irresponsible. you are very sorry. You had to bear their burden."

"But, when you married Miss Jun, she miscarried and you were stuck in that wealthy family, as a beggar of course!" The tall man laughed.

Alex began to understand. "What a despicable body this man has," he thought. Alex pretended to understand. He had to disguise himself as Adam.

"Yes Sir," he replied after a long silence.

"I understand who I am, I also understand what is going on," he said. The man frowned not understanding. Adam would be angry and shouting. But today, he was very calm. He didn't seem to take offense anymore.

The man then spat in Adam's face.

"You're not angry?" he asked without feeling guilty.

"If it's like this, are you angry?" the man burst out laughing. Adam clenched his hands. Adam Brown's body was too patient to bear all this. Alex tried to calm down.

"Okay Alex, calm yourself down. You're trapped in a poor man's body and you need to find a way out."

"You're in 2023 and you should be in 2015."

Adam looked down and wiped the spit off his face. He walked over to the empty glasses and started doing his job. He wasn't going to be provoked.

"I'm Alex, not Adam and when I live in the future, I will kill you!" he thought.
