Revange

Adam looked at the address Diana had given him. He smiled.

"Thank you Miss!" he said kindly and hurried away. Adam vowed to make Diana pay for her behavior. He had to meet with Abraham and tell his assistant all about it.

Adam went back to his house as it was very late. Juni must be waiting for him despite his wife's nagging.

"Are you home?"

"Don't you want to be here? Why come out of Dominic's shop? My father went to great lengths to persuade him to take you in," she explained.

Adam let out a long sigh.

"Juni, I want to find another job. Don't talk so much, I'm tired of listening!" Adam walked past her. Juni's brow furrowed.

"So, you want to go to the office tomorrow?"

"Oh yeah, Herry got the manager position at my dad's office. As a token of gratitude, he invited us."

Adam, who was about to enter the room, stopped his steps. He looked at Juni with an incredulous expression.

"Herry, who is he?"

Adam had a problem with Herry in the past. But Alex didn't know that.

"Herry?"

"You don't know?"

"Geez Adam, did that bump make you forget your head? He was my ex-boyfriend but he was very good to us."

There was no way that the impact could have made Adam look like a man who had lost his memory.

"I don't want to."

"You don't know Herry yet, so why turn down an invitation to have dinner with him? My family wants to organize a small party for him. You should come along."

Adam walked into the room and Juni followed. "Come on, I'm sure you will. Herry is very good to us. He's very nice," she continued.

Adam shook his head.

"No June, I'm tired. Tomorrow, I want to meet someone!" Juni hissed in annoyance. She didn't like Adam's rejection.

"If you get close to Herry, he will give you the best job in my father's office. Of course, he'll help us."

"Why are you different this week, Adam? You're an obedient man and anything I say you'll do. But now? You're...,"

"Shut up Juni. If you want me to meet Herry. I'll do it tomorrow. So calm down!" he shouted.

June wiped her tears and smiled.

"I'll wait for you at Grandma's," she called out.

The next morning, Adam went out ahead of Juni. He didn't want to see the chatty girl.

"Adam, I pity you. If I'm free of this body of yours, I'll make sure you get a lot of money so people don't insult you anymore."

Alex promised to raise Adam's status if one day his soul moved into his own body.

"I need to see Abraham. Oh well, how come Abraham doesn't live in that apartment anymore?" he thought.

Adam headed to the address Diana had given him. It was a small, run-down alleyway. Abraham had lived there with his wife before being appointed as Alex's assistant.

Adam walked closer to the shabby house. He tried knocking on the door. The door opened, but it wasn't Abraham who came out. Instead, an old woman stared at him with a furrowed brow.

"Who are you?"

Adam scratched his head, which didn't itch. There was no way he could explain to her that he was Alex. Alex was in a coma at the moment.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Adam Brown, is your husband here?" The woman looked back. Abraham rushed to the door at the mention of his name. He looked at Adam.

"Young man, who are you?"

Adam looked at Abraham who looked unenthused. The man had a different look on his face. Not like the Abraham he met nine years ago.

"Who are you?" he asked again.

"Can I come in?" Adam asked immediately. The old man nodded. "I have a lot to tell you, something important!"

Abraham invited the man into his house. They sat down facing each other. Abraham's wife Livy was making tea in the kitchen.

"Who are you?" Adam looked at Abraham.

"You don't recognize me?"

 Abraham shook his head.

"Tell me, who are you?"

"I'm Alex!"

The old man shook his head in disbelief. There was no way the comatose Alex was sitting in front of him with a different face.

"You're lying!" Abraham's body stiffened. He didn't believe the man at all.

"I'm serious, I'm Alex. I'm trapped in this man's body. I'm looking for you Abraham. What happened during these 9 years? Was I thrown into the future?"

Abraham stood up. He clenched his hands.

"Crazy man!"

"Am I trying to lie to an old man like me? Do you think what you say?"

"Don't lie to me, that you are Mr. Alex. Mr. Alex is in a coma. He is currently unconscious!" Abraham shouted.

"I was fired because Mistress Diana didn't want me to tell the public about all this. So, don't talk nonsense!"

For 9 years, he tried to keep his emotions in check and chose not to meet anyone and tell anyone about all this.

Alex let out a long sigh.

"Okay, I got it!"

Adam stood up. He walked towards the door in a huff. But Abraham quickly pulled his hand away.

"Are you Alex?"

He was still curious.

"How did you end up in this body?" Abraham knew Alex's movements well. 30 years with the man. Of course, Abraham knew Alex. He had taken good care of the man. When Lord Xavier was alive and powerful.

Adam looked at Abraham who was moping. His eyelids were wet.

"Do you know me?"

"Only Mr. Alex knows how to leave me without making a sound. The way you speak and even your movements are very like Mr. Alex." He had been trying to watch Adam's movements.

Adam looked down.

"Abraham, I don't know what's going on. But I'm trapped in this poor man's body. I need to get out and explain my vengeance to Diana. Do you want to help me?" he asked.

Abraham hugged Adam's body and cried. His sadness seemed to evaporate. For a long time, he had been waiting for him.

"Alex!"

"Alex, this is ridiculous but you're alive!"

"You will live!"

"Tell me, what should I do to help you and take revenge on Diana?"

Adam smiled.

"We're going to make her feel the same intense fear that," he said.
