Coma

"Coma?"

"No way!"

Adam shot the guard an incredulous look.

"Go away!"

"You poor bloke, don't stay here. If you don't want to leave, I'll throw you out!" he said then. Adam turned round and left immediately. He looked down at the luxurious building. Back then, everyone seemed to respect him. Even when Alex told them to lick his shoes they would.

But alas, he was a poor man with no honor.

A silver car drove in front of him. Adam frowned. It stopped in the lobby. Diana got out with Marco. They were laughing and looked happy. Adam clenched his hands.

"How can she look happy when up there, her body is in critical condition?"

"Her soul moved and now she's in agony."

"God, Adam, why are you so poor that I can't pay them back?" Alex muttered to himself. He punched Adam's body. The place where he was trapped.

Diana stopped her steps. She looked back.

"Honey, what are you looking at?"

Diana continued to stare at Adam.

"Honey, that man keeps looking at us. He's a waiter at Nomma's cafe, isn't he? His face isn't too familiar. I'm confused. Why does he keep looking at us?" Diana asked.

Marco burst out laughing.

"She's a hobo in this apartment, she's an ordinary cafe waitress, an ordinary waitress, dear."

"Don't mind him, dear, we should go upstairs. I'm sure Alex will be dead soon."

Diana looked away. She entered the lobby of the apartment.

Adam listened to everything Marco said. If only he could turn back time. He would have killed Diana along with her mistress.

"Oh no, how could he be that mean to her?" Adam thought to himself. He left the apartment immediately. He would meet up with Juni at the old, ugly house.

"I'll get back at you, Diana!"

"I promise to kill you!"

Adam headed home in the taxi he had hired.

"Where have you been?" shouted Juni as Adam stood at the door. She shot a glare at her husband.

"Don't you know? I was humiliated at grandma's birthday party because of you."

"Why should I marry a poor man with nothing?"

Adam let out a long sigh. He walked into the room. Ignoring June's cries.

He was confused, how could Adam put up with an ugly woman like her?

"Adam!"

"You're not listening to me?"

"Starting tomorrow, you should work at my father's company. I'm ashamed of you as a waitress at the cafe. Remember, to get you into my father's company!" she shouted.

Adam lay down on the bed. He continued to listen to Juni ranting in the living room.

"Adam!"

"Are you listening to me? I'm tired of you going on like this. Being a son-in-law is useless in our family. Let's see, I'll divorce you if you can't buy me a luxury house and a luxury car in the next year!"

Adam covered his ears with a pillow. Living with a woman like Juni made his head feel like it was going to explode. Tomorrow he would look for Abrahan, his loyal assistant. If he was thrown into the future, Abraham would still be alive.

"Mr. Dominic, I can't work here anymore. I will start my new job in the office." Dominic, the middle-aged man who had housed Adam for a month laughed at what the man said.

"You work in an office?" he asked in a mocking voice. Adam nodded his head.

"Yes!" he replied without hesitation.

Dominic shook his head in disbelief. "I'm not sure if Juni's family will accept you in the office. You're poor Adam. No experience whatsoever."

Adam felt humiliated by the old man's words. He took off his uniform then turned around and left the man.

"This is my last day."

"I hope you don't make my head hurt!" After taking off his uniform, Adam left the café.

He wanted to go to Diana's apartment or her mansion. But, if he came with a face like Adam. People wouldn't believe he was Alex.

"Uhft!" Adam took a deep breath and exhaled .

"This makes my head hurt. Oh, how did I get here?"

Adam made his way to his apartment. He would pretend to be Alex's distant best friend. Of course, Adam was curious now. What had his face been like for the past 9 years?

Adam ordered a taxi back to his apartment.

"I want to see Miss Diana!" said Adam as the guard held him back.

"You again, you again, aren't you bored here?"

"Call me Miss Diana now! I want to see her!" said Adam a little .

The man headed for the lift and was about to meet Diana. Moments later, Diana got off and looked at Adam with an astonished expression.

"You're a stalker, aren't you?"

"Why are you always around my husband's apartment?" Diana exclaimed immediately. Marco had gone home and she was the only one in this place.

Adam didn't say much. He just wanted to see Alex's body.

"Miss Diana, I heard that my best friend Alex is in a coma. I want to meet him. Forgive me if I'm presumptuous. I miss him."

Diana frowned not understanding. For a long time, her husband Alex did not have a poor friend. Alex also had a proud nature. But, why would a seedy man come and claim to be his best friend?

"My husband is a wealthy man, I'm sure he doesn't have a best friend like you. A poor man with nothing!" he said. Adam smiled and shook his head.

"I have helped Mr. Alex in the past. He considered me his loyal friend. I'm sure he considers me his best friend now, too."

"Come on, I've come all this way and you're kicking me out like this?" Adam raised one eyebrow as he looked at Diana.

Back then, in the past, he had loved Diana even though they had an arranged marriage. Who would have thought that the man's affection was fake? Diana never thought he existed at all. Even now, Diana was having an affair when her body could not move at all.

Diana thought for a moment.

"Come on up!"

"Get in!"

Adam smiled.

"Thank you Miss!"

Arriving in a special room, Adam had no idea that his body was lying limp and helpless. Two nurses were standing by Alex's body.

"Alex has shot nine years ago. Until now he hasn't regained consciousness."

"I'm also confused, how could he not wake up for nine years." Diana continued to tell the story.

Adam had no idea that in this world, he could switch souls. His body lay limp but his soul was in another man's body. Then there was Adam's true soul?

"Hi, why are you so quiet?"

Adam was startled by Diana's voice. "Isn't she your best friend?"

Adam swallowed his saliva. He stepped closer to Alex's body. Approaching his own body.

"Oh Alex, you poor thing."

"If I could take your place, I would," he exclaimed.

"Okay!"

Adam turned round and strode towards the door. He couldn't bear the sight of his own body.

"Are you going home?"

"That's enough, can I see Abraham? I know the old man. I'm very close to him." Adam looked at Diana.

Diana bit her lower lip.

"Isn't he Alex's assistant?"

"I sacked her nine years ago, but I have her address."

"After this, don't stalk me anymore!" Diana then took a paper and wrote Abraham's address on a letter. She threw the paper in front of Adam's face.

"Go away!"

"Don't come again!"
