Chapter Two

The news hit him hard like an avalanche of rocks, crumbling down on his world as a large gasp escaped from his mouth, taken aback.

"It's not true right?" He stared right into her eyes, searching for even the slightest trace of doubt in her eyes.

But.. It was nowhere.

All the love that seemed to be carved in those sockets seemed to have flown off almost immediately.

"Just take a good look at yourself. Everyone sees you as a piece of junk, how long did you think that I was going to cope with that?" She hissed once again.

But it was difficult for him to believe that she was going to leave him just like that.

Not when she told him that she was going to stick to him no matter what. Not when she was the last person who kept his world running right after he lost his foster mother.

"Just tell me that you are really angry and you are taking it out on him." He added but a burst of laughter escaped from her mouth.

She shoved her  hands intentionally towards him to reveal the diamond ring that glittered with the sun.

"So without introduction. I guess that I already knew who you were. Kelvin scoffed with so much disgust in his voice.

"After all these years, I thought you were just kidding about this your wretched legend but taking a good look at him right now. I can see that you are bad with description." He did not care to hide that their relationship status had been hanging out there for quite a while now.

"Years? Georgia you have been cheating on me?" His eyes brightened.

"Cheating?" She replied with a fake sense of shock.

"I would never do that." She threw her face into an odd glimpse.

"The truth is. You have never been dating. After you moved into town, I discovered that you were my birthday mate and we also share the same name. I wanted to learn more about you but discovered that you are nothing but some piece of junk."

"And then, my parents were worried that I was never going to get a boyfriend and even three threats my way. You were the only one that I could use as a cover up until someone better came my way."

Random thoughts ran through his head at the thought that all this while, he had been living a lie and nothing other than that.

His hands clenched with so much anger at the thoughts that all this while, he had only been a tool and nothing other than that.

"You're going to regret this."

"How is that even possible?" Her friend added.

"Maybe I can help pull you out of your wretchedness." Kevin smiled pushing his way toward him.

George stared at him with so much hate and disgust leaving an unusual but satisfying smile on his face.

"Everyone in this room is my witness. I am willing to pay as much as you want. Even one hundred thousand dollars. Just lick the dust off my shoes." He noted.

He expected to see some sort of trouble in the eyes of Georgia after spitting out such a large amount of money from his mouth.

But he guessed that he was wrong as he was not even the slightest bit moved by that.

Even if I have to rot in my wretchedness, I am never going to do that." A swarm of saliva stormed off from his face.

"You fool, How dare you?" Georgia yelled at him but for the first time in a long time, he certainly didn't care about this now.

Accused of stealing.

The anger was visible on his face and the only thing that he wanted now was to give him a hard kick on the stomach but with everyone around, he knew that he certainly could not do that.

"You will regret this Georgia." He said once again walking out of the place.

Meanwhile, Kelvin stormed out from the place racing with so much anger to get a face wash while Georgia followed him closely from behind.

"I am so sorry Kelvin. I thought that the punk was just going to leave.  I never knew that he was so disgraceful." Her voice was filled with stern hatred.

"I can't allow him to go scot-free after doing that to me, I will have to make him pay for it." He replied with a sudden braise and a dark smile hovering on his face.

His stomach rumbled as he walked sea from the place.

He has spent all the money that he had including his savings on the ring and necklace.

"But now, they are all gone." His voice broke as he continued to walk aimlessly in the street.

His heart was beating hard against his chest as though it was going to burst through.

But none of those losses could be compared to losing the one that he loved dearly.

His phone made a beeping sound indicating that he had an incoming call but he didn't have the will to pick it up as he let it go by.

But as the beeping sound continued to vibrate in his ears, he had to pick it up without looking at the caller ID.

Because he had a cracked screen and that was most likely impossible.

"But what's the reason that he is calling me?" He thought in his head confused.

"Hey, punk. Just stopped by and noticed that you aren't around. I want my rent transferred right this moment or you are going to get your things outside the house." He noted with a long hiss that vibrated into his eardrums.

"But." He was about to say but the dumping sound clouded the air.

"As though this is not enough already." A loud sigh escaped from his mouth.

And as though his misfortune could read out his thoughts, something really strange occurred.

A car sped off towards him and a group of men in dark hoods came down from the car with batons in their hands.

Their looks were controversial but the most thing that occurred to him was the fact that his life was in grievous danger.

Maybe the last thing that he was going to lose.

"So this is the piece of thrash." One of them wiggled his way towards him with a thick frown across his lips.

A baton flew in his direction causing a sharp pen in his back.

"Get him, boys." He heard the one closer to him who seemed to be their leader saying.

A large lump went down his spine until they heard a sound behind them.

"Stop right there." A manly voice that sounded like silk came through from behind.

The leader's lips twisted into a frown as he turned around slowly while George nursed his wounds.

"Guess someone wants to join the beating up party." He smashed the words out of his mouth as he turned around.

But all of a sudden, a chilling pause emerged from his steps as his eyes met with the man who was standing before him.

"Good day, sir." His words broke out in multiple stutters as the bully lost his charisma all of a sudden.

The rest of the gang turned around and even though he was not looking upward, Judge could feel the tense air.

His eyes made their way towards what they were all staring at. But he could hardly make a face from the whole scene because they were blocking his view.

But whoever that was, the aura was familiar for sure.

"I can't believe that Kelvin would go this low ?" He frowned with so much disgust with an heir of familiarity in his voice which George found confusing.

"I don't want to see any of you here if you don't want any broken bones." He ventured.

His words were coupled with the distress pattern of fleeing feet as soon as the whole place was clear enough to see who was before him.

A young man dressed in a gold classic suit rode a Porsche and had the perfect smile.

For any other person, they would be caught in a flash but for George, it only broke back old memories that had haunted him for such a long time and he only started doing with.

It was Henry Hopkins, his cousin.

"Thanks for the heroic act but what do you want?" There was a sense of pain in his voice as more memories set in.

The pain sword even more as he could not any longer recall those awful moments.

Being the grandson and the heir of the most prominent group in the city, the Hopkins group,  he had lived in such love.

But that was until his father grew tired of being the heir and thought that it was time for him to take over.

His father died earlier though and right from the point of his death, the familiar maltreated him and his mother, always referring to him as the bastard son because they never wanted his father and his street mother to get married.

Sighs. She was even accused of bewitching his father.

Immediately after graduating from business school, George saw high up in investing in the oil stock market but he was wise enough to use just his life savings worth ten million dollars.

But that was the greatest mistake that he made.

His uncle, Gerald, saw it as a sign that he was not capable of leadership, for going into a vain mission when everything didn't work out as planned.

And his grandfather gave him and as though that was not enough, he was accused of also investing part of the group's money worth a billion dollars.

He knew that it was all a plot, they never wanted him to be president. But there was no proof to back up his claims as he was driven and this also led to the death of his mother, leaving him an orphan.

He could feel the pain forcing its way through his eyes but he pushed it back. It wasn't worth it.

Henry has been the only one helping until he completely disconnected due to his father.

But now he is back? Maybe to become friends with him once again? It was way too confusing and sudden too.

Then the next words came.

"Congratulations on your new post as the president." George was the first to begin, breaking him off from his practice.

"George I Know that you are still angry but I am here to plead for your forgiveness."

"You should not be asking for my forgiveness. You did what you had to do. If there is anyone that should be asking for that... It should be?" There was a sudden pause.

"Not just from me, but for everyone in the whole family." He added much to his surprise and With a confused look altogether hovering on his face as Kelvin fell to his face.

"Why would everyone be asking for my forgiveness?" He was beyond confused.
