Chapter 5

Hearing Aiden's words, the man laughed out loud. "You're just an abandoned heir of the Forest family, you have no qualifications to marry a princess of the Winston family."

Aiden only smiled briefly at that, which was very dismissive. "Hm," Aiden replied and the man continued laughing.

"But I wouldn't mind kicking that woman out of the Winston family. I have many sons and daughters after all."

Really? Aiden leaned back against the wall and listened to the man continue his insulting ramblings, do whatever he wanted.

"Do you understand, Aiden?" Aiden caught a glimpse of Maria who was still waiting. He didn't care what this man was talking about.

"You're so-"

"I don't think we have anything more to say," Aiden said and cut off the call. Aiden sneered to himself, so shameless.

It was boring just to have to talk to a man like him who didn't even care about his own children, the very selfish Lord Winston.

On the other hand, Lord Winston saw the call that Aiden had disconnected. The Winston family lord Martin Winston's face turned cold.

He seemed to hesitate for a moment and then started calling someone, "Nathan Hamilton? I need you to kill someone for me."

Aiden felt that there were no more distractions now and decided to leave, but Maria who saw Aiden's departure immediately chased after him.

Maria smiled as she watched Aiden, which struck Aiden as odd. What was wrong with the woman next to him? She was Maria's secretary Gina, and also her best friend.

Aiden didn't care and was about to leave, but she pulled his hand away. Aiden looked at the grip on Maria's hand, and she immediately let go.

"What?" said Aiden.

"Nothing, it's just that would you-"

Aiden walked away and she pulled on his hand again, now what else did this woman want.

Aiden looked at her coldly, expressionlessly and she averted her eyes from his.

"Who is that woman?" asked Maria directly as if she was familiar with Aiden.

Aiden quickly removed his hand from Maria and gave her a cynical look. Aiden ignored her and left Maria.

However, the woman was so clumsy she continued to run parallel to Aiden's path. "Who is she? Do you know anyone like that?" asked Maria and Aiden, indifferent.

"Come on, answer me. ...." Maria kept pleading and Aiden kept pretending that she didn't exist.

Aiden started to feel uneasy but Maria didn't care and continued to ask who the woman was. "Did Gina tell you to?" Aiden asked and Maria stopped in her tracks.

"No," Maria replied and walked after Aiden, whose strides were very long. "I'm just curious, can't you tell me?" Aiden gave Maria a sharp glance, and she felt a little depressed.

After Aiden's divorce from Gina, Aiden's air was very different from before. He was like someone from the upper class.

Not even disappointment or sadness showed on Aiden's face. No wonder Gina felt annoyed at Aiden's cold expression.

"Are you the hidden rich guy?" asked Gina enthusiastically, she was sure that Aiden had done something.

Aiden could no longer stand hearing Maria's babbling which made his head hurt. Aiden quickened his pace and Maria immediately took his hand again.

Aiden noticed the grip again, why was this woman always holding it. Even though it was very clear that Aiden didn't care about her.

"You're a rich man, aren't you? You've been helping Gina's company all this time, right? After all, Gina's business boomed after she married you," Maria said and Aiden raised one eyebrow.

Too noisy.

Aiden was about to continue but Maria stood in front of him and blocked his way, Aiden sighed.

"What do you want?" asked Aiden in a hard tone.

"What I'm saying is that you're one of the rich people of this country, right? There's no way you could know that girl, and she even cried for you to marry her!"

Aiden frowned, Maria had apparently heard their entire conversation, but still, what right did Aiden have to answer her.

"Why are you so annoying? You rudely forced me to divorce Gina, but now look at you. You're such a disgusting bitch." Aiden with his cold gaze.

Hearing the word bitch, Maria felt angry and changed her gaze as if she wanted to kill Aiden, why did he have to choose such cruel words.

"Bitch? You said that! You think I'm that kind of woman!" Maria shouted and made the commotion even bigger, some people started to glance at them.

Aiden tapped his forehead, now what else did he have to say to get the woman in front of him to shut up and shut her mouth.

"I'm just doing what Gina says, and you know that. It doesn't mean you can say crazy things like this!"

Aiden heard Maria yelling in his face, perhaps this would make the woman shift her words.

"Why are you so quiet!" screeched Maria and Aiden just gave her a cold stare.

"Hum," Aiden replied dejectedly, answering at least.

"You really are!"

Aiden chose to remain silent, not knowing what to say now either. Maria continued to yell and did not accept being called a bitch by Aiden, even though it was just an expression of language.

But as Maria grew angrier and more upset with Aiden, Aiden moved away. Maria still continued to chase him, making Aiden even more upset.

Suddenly Maria's cell phone rang, Maria took her cell phone and saw a call from Gina. She looked at Aiden who was getting farther and farther away, Aiden finally felt free too, why not from earlier, he immediately stepped quickly.

Maria picked up her phone, "What's going on? Is there something urgent or new?" Gina asked and Maria looked at Aiden's figure who had disappeared.

"No, I couldn't see anything because the bodyguard forbade me to see him, so I left immediately after experiencing that rejection," Maria lied.

Maria smiled sarcastically, in her heart she said, Aiden must be a big man, she would make sure she became Aiden's one and only.
