Chapter 85

Aiden stepped his feet into a spacious house. His hands were stuffed into his pants pockets. His eyes looked all over the room, until his eyes caught someone sitting with his back to him. Aiden took a deep breath, then approached someone who was none other than his father.

"Dad."

Aiden greeted his father. His father looked up for a moment, then looked straight ahead again.

Seeing his father's very relaxed and unconcerned demeanor, Aiden let out a long breath. He then sat on the chair opposite his father. He looked at his father who seemed reluctant to meet him.

The atmosphere of the already quiet room was now even quieter. Even in such a large room, Aiden felt very claustrophobic, as if the room contained thousands of humans fighting for oxygen. The lingering silence made Aiden feel quite uncomfortable, but he tried not to show it. He knew how his father was and why his father behaved that way.
