Chapter 86

"I'd better get to work right now," Nana said, breaking the silence that had fallen over the room. She cleared her throat, then stood up.

Aiden nodded. He remained silent, while Nana began to feel awkward because Aiden was no longer engaging her in conversation. Nana didn't want to disturb Aiden who was daydreaming.

Nana took the cleaning equipment, then she began to clean the villa area from sweeping, mopping, to wiping the villa furniture. While Nana was doing her work, Aiden was still on the sofa, busy with his own thoughts.

Aiden sighed. He leaned his body against the back of the sofa. His thoughts drifted here and there. He could not feel calm if he had not heard certainty about the outcome of his plan.

He looked up at the wall clock. Every second that passed felt very long to Aiden. What's more, Aiden's mind was restless. Winning time often feels very slow if we are waiting for something.
