"Tsk, maybe everything is rusted..."
That was the only thing he could say. Of course, he wasn't wrong, everything in the place did seem to have rust on it.
That was probably because it had been too long since it was left and there was probably no one to look after the place.
Because of that most of the things had ended up in a bad condition.
"Sigh, I guess I need to find some other way to break the glass..."
When he took a look at the glass, he could clearly see that the glass was quite thick.
Without a doubt, it could withstand a large impact too with ease.
Probably it was strong enough to block even bullets or missiles.
However, Rin didn't care about those reasons, he just lifted whatever he found in the vicinity and started to throw them towards the glass.
'Bang'
'Bang'
The things kept hitting the glass but not even a single crack was produced. Of course, it was only after 50 minutes he realized that the glass was bulletproof as it was written on the sticker that was pasted on the other side of the glass.
"..."
"Looks like all my efforts were wasteful..."
He kept on staring at the glass as if he hated it to the core.
"Damn, I don't care anymore..."
"Let's just head back!"
He said to himself and started to walk towards the door yet again, but no matter how many times he tried to do that, he would end up returning to the same point near the glass from where he had started.
"Just, what the heck is happening?"
"..."
He just stared into the blank space that was in front of him like an idiot because he was somehow getting back to the same point without even realizing it.
"Is this because of...", he turned his gaze towards the book and looked at it with his eyes widely opened.
He suspected that all these things were happening because of the book, however, he had no proof supporting his claim.
It was just a rough guess based on his intuition and instincts.
'...'
"Argh! I'm fed up with this!"
"Just what the heck man!?"
"Why would you even bring me back!?", he snapped out and his anger took over him.
"Why don't you just get destroyed you piece of shit!"
While saying this, he thrust his right hand with all his might which cut through the air, and then ended up hitting the huge glass.
'Bam'
"..."
"Ouch! That hurt!"
He started rolling on the ground while gripping his own hand tightly.
"Just what the heck is that glass cage? It's way too strong!"
He kept rolling while saying all these things. In a matter of 2 minutes, he calmed down and took a careful look at his hand which had swelled a bit.
"Uh, I give up..."
"I don't want to stay here any longer..."
While saying this he just stood up and rushed outside. He thought that he would end up in the same place as earlier, but this time he was successful in getting outside.
"Really... this place is kind of haunted..."
He just turned back once and then continued towards his home without stopping for even a second.
"..."
'Zwoop'
"Is this for real?"
"..."
All of a sudden a man in a black cloak appeared out of nowhere in the same museum at the same place where Rin had been standing since earlier.
He was glaring at the glass which had a crack on it.
"That human..."
"He was strong enough to crack this glass?"
The person had been wearing a hood which was also black due to which his face was not clearly visible.
But it was for sure that he had some supernatural ability that allowed him to appear suddenly.
"No, a normal human wouldn't have the strength to even put a single scratch on the barrier of Zorsia."
"Just who is he?"
The glass cage was supposed to be bulletproof but that was just a lie. In reality, it was a barrier made by one of the greatest mages of all times - Zorsia.
Her barriers could easily be termed as indestructible, but right now the same had been proven to be otherwise.
"I must closely observe that boy..."
"Perhaps, he might be the one I have been looking for..."
Right after saying this, the person just walked towards the barrier and took look at the book.
Although he couldn't enter it, he could at least see from outside.
"Maybe... just maybe he might be able to wield the inheritance!"
Right after saying that, the person vanished yet again and now everything was quiet again and there was no one in the vicinity.
"..."
'Tap Tap Tap'
"Uh, what's happening?"
"Why am I feeling dizzy?"
Rin could hardly walk straight right now. His eyes were too heavy for him and he wanted to close them and rest for a while.
But he couldn't afford to do that because it had already started to drizzle.
Soon it might end up in a downpour and that too a heavy one. He couldn't just sleep on the road and that too under such rain!
"I need to..."
"Reach home as soon as possible!"
All he was thinking was about the comfortable bed in his room.
He started to walk a bit faster despite the weird burning sensation that covered his entire body.
'Huff Huff'
His home was still away by 10 minutes, but he didn't want to spend all the ten minutes walking towards his home.
He wanted to reach as soon as possible and just this mindset suddenly did something which caused Rin to reach the home in just 1 minute.
He paused and then took a look at the building. It was too dark right now and the building was only visible thanks to the light from the flashes of lightning.
"Yes... I'm home!"
He opened the door by unlocking it with the key which he had and then soon went inside right after closing the door and jumped on his bed.
His body was indeed burning up and he had brought the thermometer to check his body's temperature.
He had placed it right in his mouth just when he collapsed.
The thermometer read and showed 105 degrees Fahrenheit.
*Blink Blink*'Wh-where am I?', Rin opened his eyes while asking himself this question. He had an unfamiliar ceiling on top of him. It was quite dark, but despite that, everything was clear to him."Wasn't I in my room?", he asked. He was completely confused because the place in which he was right now was none other than the same museum from which he had departed earlier."Just what the heck is going on?", he was getting chills and goosebumps was a common occurrence right now for him.Clearly, very clearly something was fishy and he definitely felt that.He tried to stand up but unfortunately, his body didn't have even an ounce of strength. He was feeling feverish earlier and the same feeling was present even now. His body was definitely quite warmer than normal and he wasn't in his best condition either.'Tap Tap'And while he was in such a state, he suddenly heard the sound of someone's footsteps. At firs
Rin was forced to get the Grimoire but he had no idea why the man himself didn't do it.Although he was told that the book would choose the one who was worthy enough to it, he felt as if this was some random joke.'Tsk, I guess I have to trust him for the time being...', Rin was still suspecting him after all he was just a stranger."..."But he let go of all those thoughts and concentrated on what stood in front of him.'The cage... or perhaps barrier...''How do I break it?', that was the biggest question. He did hit earlier with all of his strength due to which a crack did appear, but he had no idea if he had to do the same again. He took a look at the spot where the small crack was present.'Hmm, I guess I should try hitting this spot with some sturdy material...', he decided and then looked around. The man was confused as to what he was doing. He wanted to see how Rin would break the barrier since he believed
The man was indeed astonished and failed to think anything more. His mind was blank just when he heard the shattering sound of the barrier. He wanted to deny the fact that such a barrier was broken by a brat such as Rin, but no matter what he would do, he couldn't change the truth."Yes! Finally!", he was quite happy about the fact that the barrier broke. But more than that, he was happy because he wouldn't be required to bang his hand again and again on it.It had already started to bleed but despite that, he continued to punch it.Probably each time he punched he thought - 'In the next punch it will definitely break!'That was good thinking which would lessen the pain and thanks to that he could keep punching till the end.Now Rin wiped the little amount of blood in his own shirt and then walked slowly towards the book that waited for him ahead.*gulp*'Our entire fate is in your hands...''If you can rea
Although Rin tried to tell himself that this was nothing more than a dream, he failed to wake up or come out of it.It was as if he was trapped. Indeed, he tried pinching himself and even slapped himself once or twice, but no, in the end, he was still surrounded by the dark mist and the darkness itself. All he could hear was someone's voice which he wasn't familiar with."Now accept it already, you have come here with greed to get your hands on the Legendary Grimoire of my master!", the voice said."..."This was bugging Rin even more. No matter how many times he denied it, the voice would just try to prove otherwise. It was saying the same thing again and again which was quite frustrating indeed."Sigh, just how many times should I repeat myself?""I didn't come here willingly!""I was just trying to get the book which the person asked for in return of which he would tell me about my parents and my missing brother!", Rin made
"Huh?", Rin was preoccupied with the light so much that he had forgotten about the riddle but it seemed like the voice decided to move on. 'Sigh looks like I couldn't answer the first question...', Rin was a bit sad. 'Hmm, but indeed, that was something to think about...', however, he was a bit happy that such a question was asked to him. "If you are told that tomorrow is the end of the world and if you are given with a choice to save only one among your mother, your best friend, and a stranger, whom will you save first?", that was the second question which the voice asked. The question was quite tough for Rin. He didn't know what exactly he had to answer with. Of course, while saving someone, one would give priority to the ones which are the most closely related so obviously, the answer for that should be a mother. But then again, he could save his best friend too because that person would also be close to him. No one would gi
Vars then swiftly went inside as Ruff prepared a room for Rin. Till then, Vars had been holding him in his arms.Ruff was happy to see Vars doing so much but he too wanted some opportunity to do the same.A grand room was prepared only for Rin and after leaving him on the bed, Vars came downstairs to discuss with Ruff and the maids. They all gathered around the couch where Vars sat in his office. The office was large enough to accommodate all the maids and other workers.“The one I brought today, he is none other than our master.”“This mansion, in fact, we all belong to him so whatever he says, you must do it.”“Treat him properly and with patience and no matter what, never be rude to him.”, when he mentioned all this, he was giving off a little killing intent.“We will depart to Werewoll in 3 days but until then, I hope no one makes any mistake that might anger him.”This meant
Rin could feel the pain fading slowly and steadily. While it was true that he had been bullied a lot, it was not an injury that he would suffer in a single day. He had been getting hit in the same spot for an entire year which made his bones quite vulnerable. But at the same time, the bones were slowly becoming strong. After the healing, the vulnerability would disappear and only the strength of the bones would remain to make them quite strong for any normal human of his age.‘I have to pretend to be asleep for a little longer.’, Rin kept on pretending to be asleep.Yes, as the healing continued, he did peek once or twice to see the book, but the light was too blinding due to which, he failed to even take a glance of the grimoire. He kept his eyes shut nevertheless and waited for the maids to leave the room. It was quite a nostalgic feeling – pretending to be asleep, that is.Soon May had finished healing Rin completely. Lala fini
“Young Master, you are the son of our late King Rion Weros.” “Huh?”, Rin was surprised by what Vars said. He had no idea who the person was. “But my father’s name is-” And even before Rin could state out his father’s name, Vars said, “Rios, right?” “…” “Yes.” ‘That is indeed my father’s name.’ His memories had been whipped out. Only some records in the form of photos were left in his house. So only with that, he remembers his parent's faces. Only because of those photos could he remember about his brother. But their names, he could barely remember it. He could only recall his father’s name. He didn’t even know his mother’s name nor his brother’s. Because of this, when sometimes the teacher would ask him to fill out an application, he would only fill in his father’s name. He couldn’t even fill in his father’s full name and would only just write one word. Due to this, he was often hit by h
