The Mysterious Old Museum

"Monster..."

"Monster..."

"Monster..."

"No..."

"Monster..."

"Monster..."

"No! I'm not a monster!"

*Huff huff*

All of a sudden Rin opened his eyes while shouting at the top of his voice.

The doctor who was back from the class was sitting and looking at some books when she heard him shout due to which she immediately rushed towards him.

"Rin!!?", she thought that something major might have happened.

Though nothing of that sort occurred, she could see that Rin was sweating profusely.

He was panting hard too and his breathing was too heavy.

Also, it was evident that he was troubled by something because a weird sort of mixed expression of fear and confusion was seen in his eyes.

Furthermore, it seemed as if Rin was zoned out and wasn't even able to hear what Reena was trying to say.

"Rin...? Hey Rin...", she slowly touched his arms and then shook him a bit right after which he regained his senses.

"What happened Rin? Did you have a nightmare?", she asked while trying to wipe his sweat with a wet cloth.

"Nightmare...?", Rin responded but after saying just one word, he lowered his gazes again.

'Was that a nightmare?'

He wondered and zoned out yet again.

"Rin!?", she called out again with a raised voice.

"Ye-yes?", Rin was giving answers with a shock again and again which was confusing Reena.

"Sigh, listen to me Rin, I think that you had a nightmare!", she said while staring at his eyes.

"Hmm..."

"So listen, forget about that and drink some water!", she said with a smile.

He nodded his head and then drank the glass of water right after which he sat quietly for a while as if he was thinking something else.

"Come on! Get up!", Reena said.

She knew that if Rin were to just sit like that, he would think many more things which would eventually scare him even more.

That was why she asked him to stand up so that she could engage him with some other works.

"Well, come here and help me in arranging these medical reports in the ascending order of names in alphabetical order.", she said.

Since Rin was already hurt badly, she decided to give him only a few papers after taking which he started to arrange them thanks to which his mind was now diverted.

Rin was arranging all the papers when all of a sudden he found the papers which belonged to the leader of the gang that bullied him always.

'Because of him... Just because of him I...', he grit his teeth as he thought that.

Rin was just a 16-year-old boy who should be having fun in his school life.

But just because of the same bullies, he never got a chance to even make a friend.

The only one with whom he even talked in school was his childhood friend Ria. Other than her, no one looked at him with a friendly gaze.

"Umm, miss Reena...", he called out to her in a low voice.

"Yes...?", she almost immediately looked back towards him.

"I think... it's better if I go home...", he said.

"...", Reena too thought that it would be best if he went home right now so she went and signed in a paper.

"Here... with this, you will be able to go home..."

What she gave was a medical warrant in which it was written that he was too ill and for him to be better he had to show himself in a bigger hospital.

That would mean that he would be allowed to go home once he showed that to the guard.

Though this wasn't the first time he was given this, it had already been 20 times since she started issuing this.

Rin stood up and was ready to leave when he recalled that his bag was in the class.

He didn't want to go back to the class because the bully could have stopped him there and forced him to sit there.

That would basically mean that he would be restricted from leaving.

Reena knew this and thus she had brought his bag earlier when she had visited the class in order to inform that Rin was unwell.

"Here...", she flashed his bag too while smiling.

Rin looked at the bag and then glanced at her, he then lowered his gaze a bit and smiled and then dashed out of the room while thinking, 'I'll surely repay you someday...'

He then ran towards the gate after passing which went towards his home.

Although he had got hurt badly, his legs were good enough to allow him to run.

Though that didn't mean that he could run a marathon altogether.

He just walked right after he crossed the school grounds.

"It will be better if I go home and play some games or just sleep...", he said to himself and continued his walk.

"But... what was that dream?", he kept thinking about the dream too while walking, and probably because of that, he forgot to take a look at the path in which he was going and ended up taking right turn instead of a left.

It had indeed happened to him once earlier that he had ended up taking a right turn and was slowly walking towards an old museum which was closed for ages, but he realized soon and ran back as fast as he could.

However, this time he didn't even notice how fast the time went by, and even before he realized it, he was already in front of the old museum.

"Huh...? This.... where!?", he turned his head here and there to find out his location.

And right after looking at the old, dusty, and creepy mansion that was right in front of him, he confirmed that he definitely took a right turn at the end instead of taking a left turn.

'This is... the old museum?'

Suddenly chills ran down his spine.

'I have heard weird rumors about this place...'

*gulp*

He swallowed quite a lot amount of dry saliva and started to sweat again.

*lub dub lub dub*

His heart was also beating faster than normal and more than that, he was experiencing a weird feeling that was causing him to get goosebumps.

'I am scared of this place...'

'...'

'But... why does this seem too familiar to me?'
