Chapter 28

Two weeks later.

Victoria returned from a date with Williams. She looked exhausted and depressed. The date had gone all wrong. She had informed Williams that she was married, she had to. And William got angry saying he could not marry an already married woman. She tried to convince him that it was only a contract marriage but he would not listen.

A tear drops down from her eyes. What would the family say after all the hope they placed on this marriage? She would return to be the loveless granddaughter and David and Charles would become grandma's favorite again. Then, a thought struck her. Was she doing this for herself, to get rid of Richard or she was placing the selfish needs of the family above hers? Either way, the family made her what she is today and she was always answerable to them.

Meanwhile, Richard sat in the visiting room of the Villa with Joshua beside him. He held a glass of acholic slovi wine with his left hand and placed the other hand on the table.
