Adan couldn't help but feel a hint of excitement, "Different? You have feelings..."

"You're a unique girl," Juelz said sincerely.

What kind of statement was that? Certainly not what she wanted to hear.

Remaining indifferent, Adan chose not to respond to Juelz.

Juelz resumed his seat, sighed deeply, appearing somewhat helpless. "I understand your feelings towards me, but I can't agree right now."

He glanced at Zak, subtly implying something. "My focus is on him at the moment. I'm afraid his presence might leave me with no room to maneuver. So, Adan, we need to put our matters on hold."

Following his gaze to Zak, Adan considered suggesting that Zak didn't seem like someone who would compete with him but decided against it.

She didn't entirely believe Juelz's words but nodded in response.

"Wait for me, wait until I've completely dealt with him," Juelz patted Adan's head. "But there's no way to bring him down right now. Sigh."

He withdrew his hand with a distressed look.
