Chapter 12
Author: Oldwell
The name sounded familiar to the guard. He glanced at him and told him to wait before turning toward the suite to report.

“Watch the cavalry sent across the vast lands. I’m in the eye of the storm with…” Anthony stood in the middle, singing his lungs out. He liked the song “Five Hundred More Years;” he found it majestic. He frowned when the guard entered. “What’s the matter?”

Anthony hated people walking around while he was singing.

The guard bent down and whispered, “Mr. Mark, someone named Remus Cosby is looking for you.”

Remus Cosby? Him again?

Anthony’s expression changed as he thought, “Is this how Bald Richard takes care of things? I ordered him to cripple Remus, yet he’s at my door, looking for me?”

“Tell him to leave. Tell him I’m not here!” Anthony said irritably.

It would’ve all been fine if his subordinates had paralyzed Remus. However, if he did it and Remus reported it to the Temple Lord, it would attract unnecessary trouble.

“Understood.” The guard turned and saw the door opening. Remus had come in. The guard scolded, “I told you to wait outside. Who said you could come in?”

Remus ignored him and stared at Anthony instead. “Don’t want to see me? Asked someone to cripple me, did you?”

Anthony’s expression soured. He looked at Remus’ disposition, thinking, “How dare a brat who was only imprisoned for three years give me that kind of attitude? Many of my subordinates are felons who were imprisoned for more than ten years! How could he be so bold!”

Then, he waved, not asking his guard to attack. Instead, he said, “What is it? Spit it out. I’m busy!”

Remus remained calm. “I’ve asked the question, and I don’t want to repeat it again. Answer me now. I’m in a hurry too.”

“What did you just say?” Anthony instantly became furious. Even the temperature in the suite dropped. He yelled, “You little brat. I looked after you because you were washing the toilet of Temple Lord. If it weren’t for him, you wouldn’t even have the right to see me! You’re ungrateful for my kindness and even have the balls to push my buttons. Do you take me for a patient man? Hmm?”

A nobody like this was only worthy of being his subordinates’ minion. Who gave him the courage to come to his door?

Suddenly, Remus felt enlightened. In the past, he saw Anthony as an important figure and was inclined to fawn over him, so he obliged. Later, he heard some fake news and decided against it.

He didn’t bother to explain since he was rushing to another city after breaking off the engagement with Jean Lotus tonight. After that, they would have no more contact.

“Your performance yesterday was not bad. I’ll forgive you this time. We’re even.” He turned to leave after saying that.

“Stop right there!” Anthony was outraged. As the Underground King, he had never been treated with such contempt. Moreover, Remus was nothing but a lucky nobody who met the Temple Lord.

He angrily continued, “You bastard, my patience for you is at its limit. I’ll give you one last chance for the sake of the Temple Lord. Kneel, grovel at my feet, and leave my sight forever! Also, if you dare complain to the Temple Lord, I’ll grind your bones and scatter your ashes!”

Anthony would never feel at ease if he did not teach him a lesson.

Remus turned, having still not learned his lesson, and sneered. “What if I refuse to kneel?”

“Refuse to kneel?” Anthony squinted. “Then I’ll kill you!”

Just as he finished speaking, Remus rushed him. Efficiently, Remus kicked him, causing him to slam into the wall three feet away.

Before Anthony could even slide down the wall, Remus had reached out and grabbed his neck singlehandedly, pinning him to the wall.

Remus asked, “Trying to kill me?”

Everything happened so fast that no one could react.

Anthony was in shock. At that moment, he could not even process that he was being choked and that his legs were off the ground. He had never been this nervous as he stared at Remus in horror.

Only the Temple Lord gave off this kind of oppressive energy. No, even the Temple Lord was never this oppressive! Who was this man really?

The guard was also dumbfounded, and his legs went weak. He did not stop Remus and rushed out the door to press a secret button.

“Ring ring ring… “ The moment the button was pressed, all the eight karaoke places, 12 nightclubs, and 14 clubhouses in Neptuna would be alerted. Then, 26 leaders of the sects would immediately bring hundreds of armed subordinates to the Draculus Court.

In the main hall on the first floor, Kylie Cox looked happy as she had just exchanged numbers with Ben Stuart. He even asked her out on another date. If everything went right, it would help boost the Coxs’ business.

“I heard the Stuarts’ Sky Group will be partnering with Miss Lotus’. If he becomes her business partner and I become his friend…” The more Kylie thought about it, the happier she was. She had a feeling that better days were coming.

Suddenly, she heard the alarm and was startled. Only then did she realize she had brought Remus to find the Dragon Head. What was the meaning of this alarm?

Then, she heard brakes screeching outside and looked outside. A row of cars had stopped, and a group of ferocious-looking men rushed upstairs with weapons.

“Did Remus cause this?” Kylie was shocked at the thought of this and left the place. The moment she walked out, she saw a scene she would never forget in her life.

In just a blink of an eye, the cars stopped at the entrance. Then, all the car doors opened at the same time. Hundreds of armed men rushed into Draculus Court.

But that was not the end. There were still countless cars on the road, with their headlights high, rushing toward this direction.

Kylie immediately ran and hid among the crowd.

“I heard the Dragon Head’s alarm ringing. The last time it rang was ten years ago!”

“Could it be that he’s back?”

Hearing the crowds’ murmured discussion, Kylie nervously asked, “Excuse me, what does it mean if the alarm rings?”

Likely because these people felt that Kylie was good-looking, they told her seriously. “I was part of the sect in the past, so I know some insider intel. When the alarm rings, it means the enemy has entered the Draculus Court karaoke place, and Dragon Head’s life is threatened. When they hear the alarm, all the subordinates of the sects will come to fight. As you saw, at least a few thousand people came! If I’m not mistaken, he has returned!”

His life was being threatened?!

Kylie’s face turned pale after hearing this. Could Remus have threatened the Dragon Head’s life? Was he out of his mind?

The person who was speaking wanted to flash his charisma and seduce Kylie, so he continued, “Ten years ago…”

However, Kylie was not interested in listening. Instead, she was in a panic, thinking if Remus would survive. Then, she thought of looking for Ben.

Inside the suite, Remus had let go of Anthony. Initially, he wanted to kill him, but he thought about what his Master had said. Killing will reduce his virtue and his own luck. Therefore, he decided to let Anthony go.

Remus calmly said, “You can be exempted from death, but you won’t escape punishment!”

After that, he kicked Anthony out of the door as if he was a rubber ball.

Right then, the leaders of the 26 sects rushed to the corridor. They shouted anxiously, “Dragon Head!”

Francis was silent for several seconds before finally saying, "I'll release them! But let me make it clear—once I release them, their fate is no longer my concern. If Amelicon attacks Darsia and targets them, they are no longer under my protection!"Hearing this, Roman and the ghost kings actually felt somewhat relieved. On one hand, Francis had returned to his peak form. In a way, this meant that Roman no longer had a chance to become the Three Realms' ruler. There was no point in Roman insisting on not releasing Rafael and Melody anymore. On the other hand, seeing Francis being pushed to this point by a demon was genuinely amusing."Of course!" Candace confidently replied, "Since I have the ability to make you release them, I also have the ability to protect them. As long as you keep your word, anything that happens after this will no longer concern you."Francis didn't reply further and instead headed straight for Darsia. Agreeing was his only option, as getting into a fight wi

There was no epic battle or earth-shattering clash, just a relentless barrage of energy waves crashing down on Halvor. It terminated Neskara's main deity, who vowed to destroy Francis. In the end, Halvor was dissipated into thin air, ceasing to exist.Watching Halvor gradually fade away, Francis, Roman, and the ghost kings stood quietly in place. They experienced none of the anticipated excitement or enthusiasm.Instead, what filled the air was a deep calm. Perhaps it was because they felt a sense of shared sorrow, or they understood that this was merely the beginning of everything. After overcoming Halvor, there was only one final challenge left—Amez.Although Halvor was different from what they imagined, this did not necessarily mean that the same applied to Amez. In fact, it might be even more challenging than anticipated, considering that Amelicon was truly at the pinnacle of the world. There was a silence that lasted for more than ten seconds before a roar suddenly rang out f

Francis and the others didn't respond, not because they didn't want to, but because they genuinely didn't know how to.They had considered scenarios where Halvor might fight to the death, have a backup plan, or attempt to escape. However, what they had never anticipated was Halvor actually kneeling to plead for mercy. This scene was completely unexpected for them."I'm already in this state! Do you still not believe me?" Halvor sounded like he was about to break down. "What do I need to do for you to let me go? Just tell me, and I promise I'll do it. I'm begging you, please don't kill me. Just give me one last chance!"Hearing his pleas again, the others finally snapped back to reality.Roman stepped forward and said in a serious tone, "It's not impossible to give you a chance, but you need to show sincerity. If you do, I promise to let you go!""Sincerity?" Halvor's eyes immediately lit up.Roman responded, "Darsia has the Pathic Energies, and Amelicon possesses the Primal Energ

Hearing that command, the soldiers started attacking and killing the civilians who had appeared. It seemed harsh, but they were currently in a war. Showing mercy to the enemy was essentially being cruel to themselves. If, by any chance, they managed to strike back against Darsia, they would show no mercy to its people. From the start, the outcome was clear—whoever lost would face the destruction of their nation and people."Lord Castillo, save me!" the citizens shouted."No!" Halvor roared as he looked down at the Mortal Realm, his eyes nearly popping out of his head.It wasn't sadness for his followers that troubled him. Rather, it was the absence of them. Without his followers, he couldn't gather the power of faith necessary to continue fighting, which might actually cause his death."Stop, you bunch of insignificant mortals! Stop right now!"Halvor was still screaming, but Darsia's soldiers naturally wouldn't listen to him. They continued to carry out Gabriela's orders, and o

As soon as these words were spoken, the surrounding space suddenly transformed dramatically. The air below seemed to gradually unfold layer by layer, much like layers of mist being pulled away, revealing the scene beneath with increasing clarity and visibility.Below was not a formation or barrier, but Neskara's Mortal Realm.Halvor was waiting for this exact scene. Until now, he had never shown himself to his people. At this most critical moment, he had no choice but to reveal himself.By letting the people see him, their prayers would become even more devout. This devotion would continuously generate a power of faith to nourish him, providing him with an endless source of strength. Moreover, they could also pray to the deputies. As long as their prayers were sincere enough, even if the deputies' physical forms were destroyed, their avatars would still exist and could gradually be reformed. By then, they would have no reason to fear Francis. However, things turned out completely

Francis and the others didn't hesitate after taking care of the deputies, either. They immediately focused their attention on Halvor and charged toward him without any delay. At this point, there was no room for hesitation—the problem had to be uprooted, or it would keep growing back. With no other deities interfering, their speed increased, causing the distance between them and Halvor to shrink rapidly.Halvor could feel them closing in quickly, but he had no choice but to keep running. Part of him wanted to turn back and beg for mercy, but he was worried that even speaking might give them a chance to catch up. So, he stayed silent and continued to run.Suddenly, a spark lit up in Halvor's eyes. In his rush to flee earlier, he had forgotten that by running at full speed, he was constantly moving forward. Now, in the distance ahead, he could see Neskara, where his own people and followers were.Once back in his own territory, not only could he harness the power of faith from his f
