92 Guilty Conscience

Charlotte's guilty conscience took control over her as Aidan stood an inch away from her with gritted teeth.

She waited for him to speak out as her eyes were already shut, but only silence followed. Aidan didn't say a word, rather than staring intensely at her.

After waiting for a long time and without hearing a word from Aidan, she slowly raised her head to see if Aidan was still standing before her.

Unfortunately, she discovered that he was still standing before her after setting eyes on his legs, but she was still curious to see his entire body to be convinced.

Immediately she had eye contact, she quickly fell on her knees and surrendered.

“Forgive me, please. I never meant to do it. It was my cousin's brother who threatened to kill me if I didn't do it. Have mercy on me, please.” she pleaded as tears flowed down her cheeks.

“What are you talking about, Charlotte? What have you done wrong to warrant this?” Aidan asked as he lowered his gaze to her.
