Salvador knocked gently on Austin's bedroom door, his heart heavy with the knowledge of what he had to do. The door creaked open, revealing Austin sitting on his bed, a frown etched on his face.

"Hey champ, it's time to head back to your mom's place," Salvador said softly, trying to sound cheerful despite the somber task at hand.

Austin's frown deepened, and he crossed his arms stubbornly. "But I don't want to go back there," he grumbled, his voice filled with frustration.

Salvador sighed, understanding the boy's reluctance. "I know it's tough, buddy. But we have to follow the rules," he explained gently, sitting down beside Austin on the bed.

Austin's shoulders slumped in defeat, and he nodded reluctantly. "I guess so," he mumbled, his voice barely above a whisper.

Lia reached out to ruffle Austin's hair affectionately. "You can always come back and visit anytime you want, okay? The Maroons will always be here for you," he reassured him, offering a comforting smile.
