Chapter 3

Marco's body jerked in surprise. Hearing Stefani's words, he wanted to vomit blood. It was only a matter of time before his anger exploded.

"You know, Marco, you're just a trashy guy. I've wasted enough time with you. From now on, I'll live comfortably with Hansel. Living in a mansion and surrounded by expensive things." Stefani's eyes lit up as she said this. She looked pleased and hopeful.

Marco shook his head hard. "Does getting you pregnant mean Hansel loves you? Open your eyes, Stefani. He is just using you!"

"What do you know about this? You are the one who has always been a parasite in my life, Marco. Not Hansel!" Stefani shouted angrily. She pointed at the items attached to Marco's body. "Your clothes, your shoes, the food you eat, they were all bought with the Reyes family's money. Remember that!"

What Stefani said was true. Marco could only swallow his anger.

"What are you waiting for? My daughter has already asked for a divorce from you. Don't worry, we'll take care of the divorce." Melani said excitedly. This was the time she had been waiting for. All these years, she had been waiting for this moment.

Hansel Burton was a young master from a wealthy family. It was certain that the wedding favors they gave her would also be very large. Melani was already imagining dozens of jewelry sets lined up before her. A luxurious villa for her to live in and a check for hundreds of thousands of dollars as a dowry.

Melani closed her eyes. Her hands touched her face, which was flushed with happiness. "I can't wait to see all the dowries Hansel gave me. They must be worth tens of millions. I'm going to be rich!"

Melani's imagination traveled far and wide. She already imagined the lavish wedding between Stefani and Hansel Burton and how she would become a part of the Burton family. It was the moment she had been waiting for.

Marco stared at the two of them with a look of disbelief. He was disappointed that all his hard work was being ignored. Those two women were like snakes, so venomous!

Even though his salary had been small, he had always given his entire wage to Stefani. He had worked so hard to make her happy, and they had secretly betrayed him. I don't know what the heavens have in store for him, but it seems like this is the accumulation of his seven lifetimes of bad luck.

Marco looked intensely at Stefani. His breath was coming in short gasps of disappointment. "You didn't even apologize to me? A betrayal of this magnitude, and you still say nothing to me? Don't you feel guilty? Where is your conscience?"

Stefani grinned. She looked at Marco with confidence. Her gaze was scornful. "One thing you should know before you go. I never regret doing this, Marco. I never regret being in a relationship with Hansel. Whether it was then, now, or in the future, I won't regret it!"

If cursing could kill a person, then today, Marco has died a hundred times. "Remember, Stefani, I'm only going to say it once. Hansel is just using you!"

Melani snapped out of her reverie. She looked at Marco sharply. She was fed up with the useless man's presence. "What are you waiting for? Get out now!"

Marco remained where he was. His eyes were already red. Even the muscles in his neck were tense. Melani pulled Marco's hand and shouted at him. "Hurry up and leave! Even if you beg like a beggar, I won't listen!"

Marco waved his hand, making Melani's grip loosen. "I don't want to live with you either!" Marco snapped. He could no longer contain his emotions. His face looked terrible.

Melani's gaze became wide. She was offended by Marco's words. "Insolent! How dare you say that!"

Marco advanced until there was only a step between him and Melani. He lowered his face to Melani's level. His masculine voice became firm. He had never been this assertive before. "Of course! You guys keep cursing me every day. What reason do I have to be polite to you? I used to love Stefani, forgetting all the abuse you gave me. But that was then! From now on, I will avenge everything you do to me!"

"Good! Remember, you can't take anything out of this house!" Melani shouted. "And you can't come back to this house either!"

"Okay!" Marco's breath hitched as he turned around and left the Reyes residence.

His heart was in turmoil. When he recalled the happy moments he had shared with Stefani, it was like electricity was running through his body. It thrilled him, but it also hurt him. The image of the test with two lines kept playing in his head, making his emotions unstable. She was angry, sad, and disappointed, but she couldn't be weak!

The wind that carried dust escorted Marco's departure from the Reyes residence. He staggered into a bar. This was something he rarely did, dealing with disappointment with alcohol. But, this time, he needed a martini.

Marco entered the bar and sat on a chair. He called out to the bartender and immediately ordered a drink. "Give me a Vodca Martini with lemon, shaken, not stirred."

The bartender nodded in understanding. He prepared Marco's order. A few short moments passed, and the bartender placed the Vodka glass in front of Marco. "Are you having a hard time, sir? I guess those people must have betrayed you."

Marco's gaze became horrified. He stared at the bartender. He thought he was very presumptuous. Especially when he saw a smile on the man's face, Marco immediately felt uncomfortable. He wanted to stand up and beat the man up.  However, at a time like this, he should not be provoked. He must remain calm.

"Do you want to take revenge?" the man asked again.

Marco sighed. In his opinion, this person was very meddling. Did his face look so miserable that people could immediately guess the problem?

Marco shook his head.  "We don't know each other. I've never met you. You don't understand my problem. So, cut the crap!"

Instead of getting angry, the bartender in front of him laughed. "How do you know if I don't know your problem?"

Marco looked displeased. He pulled out his martini glass and wanted to drink it. However, the statement the bartender said made him pause.

The bartender lowered his head and whispered near Marco's head. "Your wife is pregnant and carrying the child of a conglomerate. On top of that, you were kicked out and divorced."

 Marco raised his face. "Nonsense."

The bartender looked severe. "Sir, you can't lie to yourself."

"Shut up!" snapped Marco. "You have no right to interfere in my life!"

The bartender remained visibly calm, unintimidated. "But these are facts, sir. And I, I intend to help you."

"Have you been my stalker all this time?" accused Marco. He was very suspicious. This news should not have gotten out yet. But why did this person know this news so quickly?

"Young master Marco, I am Will, the servant of the Gallahad family. We have been looking for you for a long time."
