It was like a male version of Princess Cecilia. The young man looked at him keenly, and then at Julian He seemed to be comparing things in his mind. The prolonged staring by the young man was beginning to make him uncomfortable and Blaize was not the only one that felt that way.

"What are you looking at?" Julian asked the young man who quickly stopped staring. He went towards a wall and rested his back.

"Are you the Newcomer?" The young man asked Blaize who kept looking at him.

"Who's asking?" Blaize replied. The young man walked closer to him and revealed a tattoo on his left arm.

"Have you seen this tattoo before?" He asked Blaize. What the hell was going on?

"No. Should I have?" Blaize asked him. The young man smiled before he extended his hand toward Blaize for a handshake.

"My name is Percy, son of the king of the Arynthians. I am a brother to Princess Cecilia whom you helped. She told me all about you." Percy said and Blaize slowly shook his hand. He was a bit skeptical at first

"Breathe, Cara. Breathe..."Alastair said to Cara as she opened her eyes. Her breathing was raspy and shallow like she could barely even get the air down her lungs. She looked at Alastair as he kept muttering some words while she steadied herself, taking short, deep breaths along the way."Breathe...you are fine now. You are alright. Just take it easy." He said to her and she whimpered softly. Her chest was tight like she had had a heart attack along the way. "Here. Drink this." Alastair said and handed her a tonic. She had no idea what he had mixed together and frankly, she did not care. She just drank it, but something she could not shake off was the bitter taste of it.She gagged as she tried to swallow the tonic but she nearly retched. She quickly cleaned off the excess from the sides of her mouth and sighed. It took a moment before the tunic began to work, and when it did, Cara could already feel her energy returning."Thank you." She said to him and he nodded. "What happened?"

The town's name was...Pyra. Alastair could tell from the inscriptions they had at the entrance. The letters were quite similar to those in Elderien and they looked like they were just inscribed. Alastair wondered why that was. It was not that they were dirty or anything. Alastair watched the people as each walked past him and all he could observe was that Pyra was a terribly depressed place. Why were they gloomy? What happened to their joy?"Is it just me or is this town creepy?" Cara asked Alastair and she suddenly made eye contact with a young woman. The woman suddenly looked away like she was vermin. Cara scoffed."She's not even pretty." She muttered as she tried to catch up with Alastair."I don't think they like us very much." "Why don't you put down the crossbow and we can talk this through like adults?" Alastair said to the captain who scoffed at his guts. Her eyes were blaring with anger, and the only thing in her eyes other than anger was turmoil, pain, and regret. She steadied the crossbow in her hand and fixed her gaze upon Cara. Her eyes never left her. It seemed like she could remember what happened that day, the fire that suddenly blasted them all apart. She could remember the smell of burnt flesh which filled the air, saturating every part of the house. She could remember the smell of her own flesh and the moment that hit her, her face twitched a little. She took a deep breath and pointed the crossbow at Cara. "You didn't even ask for her name." Cara said to Alastair as they walked down the busy road. Their short time at the pub had not turned out the way Alastair hoped. He just kept walking in silence, and the silence was what made Cara uncomfortable."I did not need to," Alastair replied and she scoffed."Why not? She was clearly into you and you liked her as well. What is stopping you?" Cara asked, but then she realized how insensitive her statement was. She should not say such things about Alastair's relationship."Is it because of Miranda?" She asked but he was silent."How do you know she is still waiting for you?" Cara asked again but Alastair still said nothing. She was right. He did not know. But the thing bothering him was that he might not live to find out. "I... I do not want to forget her. I want to cherish our memories together until there is nothing left of me. He could see a young woman and two kids which looked like they were hers. The woman glanced at him and smiled, a smile which melted Alastair's heart. The journey was quiet, and although the moonlight shone upon them like the ever glowing beam of light that it is, Cara was not feeling it. She just kept walking, a step behind Alastair. Her head was bowed, her fists were clenched. Her nails were digging into her palms, although not enough to give her an injury, it still hurt.Maybe she wanted it to hurt. Maybe she just wanted to feel something at the end of the day. She had been so hollow ever since the fight. She could feel Asmodeus crawling around in her mind. She could feel the Phoenix slowly regressing. She could feel the terror that was coming, very one that she was destined to bring upon the world."Are you alright?" Alastair asked her, snapping her out of it. She nodded quickly and looked at him for a moment. "You look disturbed. Is there anything you would like to talk about?" Alastair asked her again but she shook her head. He decided not to press her. If she was ready to talk, she would."Do you miss it? Everything else bef
