Confrontation

Alastair dashed towards Cara and quickly wrapped her up in his arms. She was cold, very cold, like someone who was about to die. But she could not exactly die, could she? Alastair picked her up and dashed towards the house. Her breath was barely noticeable. She gave out short groans at regular intervals and she was shivering.

Alastair quickly rushed her to the house and lay her down on a table. He sighed as he gazed at her, trying to figure out what was wrong. Alastair stretched forth his hand towards Cara and as a Bright light shone forth from his hand, he watched as cara's Body became enveloped within the light. The light was radiating so bright at first, but then, it suddenly became dim.

In horror, Alastair gazed at Cara's energy core. It was flickering like a candlelight. Her energy was weak and it was only the Phoenix's breath of life that was keeping her alive. Alastair quickly tried to shift some of his energy into her. It was a technique mages used to save other mages who were
