Reflection

Darkness.

It was the only thing Cara could see when she opened her eyes. Her heavy head did not make it seem better. She just stood there in the emptiness, feeling nothing inside her. Where was she? She questioned. It looked like a strange place to her, one that she could not fathom.

The vast emptiness spread across all angles of the space, and the darkness complimented It. It was like a dark night, with nothing in the sky but the firmament to keep the earth lightened up. But even that was not enough for without the grace of the moon, the earth could not truly be called alive.

Cara knew she could not just stand there. It was a vision, it had to be..but no vision she had ever had felt that way. None of them made her feel so choked up. She has been to the ethereal realm before and that was not how it felt. Where she was was different and she did not know how to navigate through it.
