“Do you think Camila had any reason to harm your mother?” detective Riley asked as Smart scoffed.

“Absolutely not. Camila was her friend. She was a very good friend. My mum even took her like a daughter she never had. She wouldn’t hurt her.” Duncan said firmly which Smart agreed to without hesitation. Riley tapped his pen against the folder, his eyes never leaving the brothers. Smart was beginning to shake. He was having a hard time coming up with the terms that his mother was gone. Duncan placed a hand on Smart's arm, a silent plea for calm.

“Detective, we’ve told you everything we know. If you have more questions, talk to our lawyers.” Duncan said, holding his brother's hand firmly. They were each other's support now and he wouldn't let anyone make his brother feel uncomfortable. Riley smiled faintly, closing the folder.
